Durga Cafe Pashan Pune — Restaurant in Pune

An evergreen place to grab a cold coffee and some quick bites on the way. Being a very small place I won't comment on the ambience. The place is mostly crowded with college students so the service for food orders is generally slow, though the coffee is immediately served.

Anyways the things that I have tried here:

COLD COFFEE (Both normal and thick) The only thing that has consistent taste across all the durga cafe outlets. The cold and perfectly sweetened coffee is definitely worth trying.

FRENCH TOAST The french toast was just okay. As only salt was used in the egg preparation, it tasted pretty bland. Chillies and onions to it would have done wonders.

MISAL PAV I had it delivered once. It seemed too much oil was used while preparing the gravy as it had a thick layer of oil over it. The taste was good as the spiciness of the gravy was somewhat satiated by the farsan provided separatly.

Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service is awesome everytime. The owner and staff are very accommodating and makes certain that I have everything I need. The restaurant is exceptional, not only because every food item I enjoyed had a variety of options and was flavorful but also because the prices were so reasonable. They start operating at 09:00 in the morning till 11:00 in the night. Best part, the cafe falls on the way to University. This review is specific to the one located on Pashan Sus Road. All other Durga Cafes in Pune I've been to so far, are subpar imho. However, here I am a regular for more than 4 years now. Food quality is good, meaning..I never fell sick after eating at this location. Price..reasonable. Never felt fleeced here 😂. My fav menu items here..All Burgers (veg,non veg) , Misal Pav and cold/hot coffee. Menu items I avoid here..all South Indian dishes, frankly because they don't taste south Indian at all.
