Ganesh Bhel — Restaurant in Pune

The shop is located on the right bhusari colony in kothrud, opposite to kothrud depot. There is a huge problem of parking over there as the place is adjacent to traffic signal, the municipality often tow vehicles which are illegally parked there.

I have been visiting ganesh bhel from around 6 months and have tried majority of food there. i have tried oli bhel (30 rupees), dahi bhel (40 rupees), samosa bhel (50 rupees), ragda pattice (45 rupees), aalo parantha (50 rupees) and masala dosa (50 rupees). From the above mentioned food my favorites are samosa bhel and aalo parantha. The aalo parantha is served with white chickpeas and curd.

In my initial days of visiting this place they were only offering self service but now there are plenty of waiters to serve. Sitting is one of the main issues as there is lot of rush in the evening and you have to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a table. As the place is on the main road there is a lot of noise due to traffic which effect the overall experience and ambiance.

This small restaurant is nice for fast meals. They serve many tasty snacks like Misal Pav, Dosa, and Pulav. In the afternoons, it's usually full of people, and there's hardly any parking for bikes. There's no parking at all for cars. We tried the Misal Pav and Pavbhaji; both were really good. But the place isn't very clean. The tables and the floor were quite dirty, and the restaurant is open from three sides, which might let in dust and dirt. The service was pretty slow too. It is now bigger than before, has mostly outdoor seating under a well covered area and can accommodate a good amount of people.
