This is an old famous place which serves hot and spicy chicken dishes… not just that… they are famous for their GAVRAN STYLE CHICKEN. This restaurant provides NON VEG THALI , where they serve unlimited food except he chicken pieces …. Unlimited rice , unlimited rotis are served here . The food is prepared and cooked over the MUD UTENSILS … giving it a different charcoal taste… which is called “CHUL varch jevan” in Marathi. For those who would like their chicken fry and chicken ukkhad … they can opt for unlimited chicken thali as well…. Which is called VIP THALI . Vegetarian food is also taken care of , though not very famous … but its for those who doesn’t eat non veg…. Bt accompanies along with the friends…. Such can definitely try out their veg thalis as well. The chicken fry comes with a spicy masala fry gravy which tastes really amazing Here they also serve the authentic MARATHI rice ( Indrani Rice ) with ghee and also AALNI CHICKEN RICE …. One wont be able to stop licking their fingers all the time. Chicken fry has some pudina flavour into it which adds the exact flavour to it. Its a must visit place… the charges are very nominal …. And the ambience is also not so great … but very decent ….
Suggestion - some huts , or some bamboo furniture or table or wooden theme i VILLAGE STYLE. Would suit a lot for the restaurant .

Read moreGood amount of parking space is available Ambience is average. However it's clean Service is very good. The waiters got the food fast and kept asking if we need anything We had ordered 1 Chicken Thali and 1 Anda kari thali. While leaving, the waiter asked if we would like like Special chicken thali instead. 1 dry chicken starter and a little soup comes with it. It was our mistake that we didn't check its price and ordered it (Kaveri Special Chicken Thali) Bhakri was quite dry. We didn't like it. I am giving 3 star rating to food because of this only. The dry chicken starter & little soup / rassa was good. Best part was Indrayani rice. It tasted really good with the chicken When I went to pay the bill, I actually got shocked. Normal Chicken thali is for Rs 230. This Kaveri Special Chicken Thali is for Rs 440. It's 200+ Rs more because of that 1 dry chicken starter (it comes in a katori as well) and that little katori / vaati of soup/rassa. It's a ripoff !! I will prefer to visit Surve's Pure non-veg only henceforth as its food is more tasty and less oily. Plus they allow to share the thali. Me and my wife's diet is quite less. So that 1 shared thali is more than enough for us and we get it in around Rs 400
Hotel Kaveri definitely need to rethink about their prices. It's way too much compared to the food and the ambience they...
Read moreVisiting Kaveri Hotel was a huge mistake. The food was extremely disappointing – bland, undercooked, and nothing like what was advertised. Some dishes even seemed stale or reheated. It felt like they had zero regard for hygiene or taste. Definitely not worth the money or risk to health.
But the real shock came when I raised my concerns. The owner’s behavior was downright disgraceful – loud, rude, and shockingly arrogant. Instead of listening to feedback, he mocked customers and behaved as if he was doing us a favor by serving food. Many people I spoke to later confirmed this isn’t a one-off incident – this is how he treats everyone.
What deeply offended me, however, was learning that the hotel was secretly serving beef in some dishes without informing customers. This is highly insensitive and disrespectful, especially in a place where many people consider it a serious religious and cultural issue. Serving such food without transparency is not just unethical – it’s a betrayal of trust.
This was easily one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I will never step foot in Kaveri Hotel again, and I strongly advise others to stay away if you care about quality, respect, and your beliefs. There are far better places that value their customers and...
