New Poona Bakery - Cafe — Restaurant in Pune

Visited this cozy place yesterday evening with my friend. It is situated right along the national highway and hard to miss from the road. This place has lot's of seating area and very comfortable. We ordered 1 pasta , 2 hazelnut coffees, NPB special masala sandwich and 1 Choco lava cake. Pasta and the sandwich were good. Coffee also tasted good though it could have been a little more stronger. Choco lava cake did not look or taste like a choc lava cake. It was a normal cake layered with chocolate sauce. They do not serve water unless you ask for it which is a drawback. The bakery stuff like cream rolls , coconut cake, pattice, etc are placed in different area from the cafe which can be easily placed near the counter inside the cafe. Expectations were low but oml. The cashier had no change for our order and tried to hand unfit and ragged notes. Upon requesting for other notes he was straightup adamant on their condition and very rudely placing sly remarks, thus showing his natural incompetance about serving or basic conversation manners.

Upon seating we noticed that the furniture and cushions were noticably filthy. There was a visible layer of muck on arms and seat of the sofas. The air conditioning was replaced with a small fan which made sure the paper napkins flew away in an instant.

I ordered a 9 inch chicken Tikka pizza but during the bill they charged me for 12 inch and was demanding to be paid more 210rs for the 12inch.

I clearly still remember ordering a 9 inch pizza and bot 12, but the customer service which I faced wrong very poor and dispointing.

I paid 210rs more that's not a big amount but the way of treating the customer is extremely poor.

I even asked for a video or a recording from the counter to prove that I ordered a 9inch pizza but they didn't provide any because they knew I ordered a 9inch.

It's a good place to visit but from today's experience I'll never think of spending some time...
