#HappyCustomer #PositiveReview #PunjabCanteen Ever since I heard about Punjab Canteen Kothrud, I so much wanted to go here! This Friday, we planned togo for dinner! Both me and my husband have stopped ordering Punjabi food while dining out now-a-days, but looks like we will now find reasons to go back to Punjab Canteen, for the authentic & rich taste ā¤ļø We started our dinner with a masala papad & tamatar shorba... Papad was perfect crisp. Shorba was actual Shorba & not a cream of tomato soup! (I hate all those who serve Cream of tomato soup in the name of Shorba) So after having my first sip, I realised we are at right place & won’t regret this dinner! For main course I opted for Muli paratha thali - which had a huge paratha, salad, bundi raita, aalu sabzi, dal makhni & chole. Husband went for Chole Kulche which had two sumptuous stuffed kulchas, a salad & a laddu size Gulabjam. Food is delicious here! Paratha & kulchas were excellent! Chole here, is a must try dish! My adventure freak husband ordered a Patiala Lassi, it was heavenly, but I can have that lassi (a normal glass, and not THE PATIALA) only if I skip all the FOOD! If you want to have real punjabi food loaded with rich flavours, you must visit the place! We paid some 700/- around for all this & find it absolutely worth it! Staff is extremely welcoming! Owner Anish was around all the time, accommodating everyone & helping them to order! We conveyed him that we like the food & looking forward to come back. My suggestions if you are visiting the place - try avoid munching around that too, if you are a person who is not blessed with huge appetite, prefer keeping fast for the day and go for dinner😬 Make sure the person who is suppose to drive back home won’t fall asleep on way back, after a HUGE Patiala Lassi 😓 All in all, we are now waiting for our next visit... If you are vegetarians who love punjabi food (doesn’t matter, even non vegetarians will love the spread here, for a change) but are sick off ordering same roti-subzi at multi cuisines, you must must must visit the place - Punjab Canteen!

Nestled in the heart of the city, Punjabi Canteen Hotel is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic North Indian cuisine. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I had high expectations, and boy, did they deliver! First up, the paratha. Each bite was a delightful symphony of flavors, with a perfect balance of crispiness and softness. Stuffed generously, these parathas are a carbolicious dream come true. Next, the chole thali is a culinary masterpiece. The chole was rich and spicy, cooked to perfection with a robust blend of spices that sing on the palate. Accompanied by fluffy bhature and fragrant basmati rice, every mouthful was a trip to food heaven. The thali also included a variety of pickles, raita, and a refreshing salad, making it a well-rounded, satisfying meal. And then, the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance: gulab jamun. These golden, syrup-soaked delights are the ultimate indulgence. Warm and sweet, they melt in your mouth, leaving a lingering taste of cardamom and rose that’s simply irresistible. The ambiance at Punjabi Canteen Hotel adds to the experience, with rustic decor that transports you straight to a traditional Punjabi dhaba. The service is prompt and friendly, making you feel right at home. The menu offers a plethora of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, ensuring there's something for everyone. In a nutshell, Punjabi Canteen Hotel is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates hearty, flavorful, and authentic Punjabi cuisine. Every dish is a testament to their culinary expertise and passion for food. Don't miss out on this gastronomic paradise! šŸ½ļøšŸŒŸ

Punjabi Cuisine is one of the most distinct and popular Indian cuisines. It offers a vast variety of delectable and exotic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that are prepared with varied traditional culinary styles, particularly the tandoori style. The exotic and appetizing tandoor items and various other mouth-watering and finger licking dishes having rich, spicy and buttery flavour savoured with Punjabi Basmati rice of varied forms and special Punjabi breads like Tandoori Roti and Naan have not only made the gastronomists crave for more but has also garnered the cuisine much fame outside the Punjab region taking it to places around the globe like Canada and the UK. You can feel the Punajbi culture as soon as you enter the place and the catchy lines painted all over the restaurant. The menu itslef conveys you the cool and carefree attitude of Punjabis and their love for food at the same time. Things tried were - Amritsari Thali : Rs. 1150 1 King sized Paratha 2 Cheese Chilli naan 2 Roti 2 Pudina Roti Paneer Kurma Shahi Paneer Veg Kolhapuri Mutter Mushroom Masala Punjabi Chhole Dal Makhani Green Peas Pulav Dahi Bhalla Papdi Chaat Boondi Raita 2 Gulam Jamun Moongdal Halwa Patiyala Lassi Lota Chaas This monster thali (though there are much bigger also available at other locations) is more than enough for 4 people. Its recommended if you are a group of 4 foodies or 5-6 avg eating people. Gulab Jamuns tasted like home, but taste best when eaten warm. Love this place!
