Salsa Multicusine Restaurant — Restaurant in Pune

We were lucky to take a small break from our routine and head to Pune with family. We were staying at the Corinthians Resort. Beautiful property, lush green and spacious. The property has 3 restaurants of which Salsa is the multi cuisine A-la-carte one.

It is definitely convenient to eat here, restaurant can accomodate large groups or families. We ate a couple of times, one lunch and dinner. Lunch that we had was predominantly Indian and Italian food. However for starters we called for Bruschetta. One should be open to cherry tomatoes though instead of regular ones. Main course was Jeera Aloo, Dal Tadka along with Rotis. Good decent portions. We also ordered thin crust Pizza, it's about 9 inches and you can choose from quite few toppings. We also tried the Penne Alfredo (white) and Penne Pink Pasta.

Dinner meal was a mix of Mexican as well as Sizzlers. We tried Nachos, Quesadillas and Enchiladas. All of it was good. And couple of sizzlers - Tangy Cottage Cheese and Oriental Veggies. Sizzler portions should be enough for one or you can share 2 sizzlers amongst 2-3 people.

Since we visited the restaurant couple of times we pretty much tried their entire menu. Salsa is definitely a good option to eat if staying at the Corinthians or even if you stay in Pune and feel like trying...

We ordered crème of chicken soup and chicken tortilla soup and Mexican fish finger starter. Both soups were good and tasty. Chicken was tasty in soups. Chicken tortilla soup had kidney beans, chicken pieces, pieces of tomato, overall nice taste. Then we ordered butter chicken and butter tandoori roti. Service was little slow. We need to take a follow-up with Manager n staff for order given. Butter chicken was yummy. Tomato sauce based butter chicken was cooked well and has big vertical portion of chicken. Butter tandoori roti was soft. Then we ordered dal tadka and steam rice. Both were good in taste. We ordered Walnut brownie with vanilla icecream and Tiramisu-a Italian classic dessert. Walnut brownie was hot and yummy, delicious treat. Tiramisu Italian dessert I tried first time. It has flavor of coffee and cheese. It was also good who like less sweet taste like me. This was my first visit to any restaurant in Corinthians and I expected everything as 3 or 4 star service. It turned out to be a worst experience as I and my family were allowed entry only in one restaurant called Salsa as others are restricted for their members only. All the staff as they had enough staff were just paying attention only to one big family who had organised their kids birthday party. Other than mine, there was only one table occupied and we both were wondering as when our food will arrive. Even giving orders was a struggle as we had to wait and wait that someone will attend but no one paid attention. Food was fine and they charged as if they were 3 star hotel but service was pathetic than a small hotel or dhaba in the highways. My last visit to Corinthians...
