Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience at Golden Crust Restaurant
Overall : (2/10)
I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at Golden Crust, and my experience left me utterly disappointed. From start to finish, my visit was marred by a series of frustrating incidents that I feel compelled to share.
To begin with, the service was shockingly inattentive. Despite multiple attempts to flag down wait staff, it took an unacceptable amount of time before anyone even acknowledged our presence. After a lengthy wait of 15-30 minutes post-arrival, we were left without any attention from the staff to take our order. It was only after numerous attempts and calls for assistance that we managed to place an order for 3-4 items.
However, the ordeal was far from over. As time went on, our patience waned as our ordered items failed to make an appearance. Inquiring about the delay, we were met with excuses and vague explanations. I ordered lasagna, only to be informed that it would take an astonishing one to 1.5 hours to prepare. The frustration continued when we tried to order cheesecake, and were informed that we had to select it ourselves from the counter. Even though I clearly stated the name of the cheesecake to our waiter, they denied it, leading us to discover this unexpected requirement at the counter.
Venturing to the counter for the cheesecake, we were met with more confusion and inefficiency. The lack of coordination was painfully evident, as we were given contradictory instructions about how to obtain our chosen dessert. Meanwhile, the waiter who knew we were waiting for our order gave our table away to another party.
Finally, after considerable hassle, our order was delivered. Unfortunately, the table was in a deplorable state, showing no signs of being cleaned after the previous occupants. The atmosphere was further tarnished by blaring music that inexplicably ceased after some time. The quality of the food was equally disappointing, with the pizza falling far short of its price point. The nachos, priced exorbitantly at 150-200, offered a poor taste that simply didn't justify the cost. Even the cheesecake we struggled so hard to obtain turned out to be a letdown – its hard crust and excessive sweetness bore no resemblance to the well-balanced flavors one would expect.
The menu as a whole left much to be desired. Basic pizzas, sandwiches, and other items failed to impress, showcasing a lack of effort in culinary innovation. All in all, my experience at Golden Crust was unequivocally dreadful. The combination of subpar service, exorbitant pricing, and lackluster food quality paints a grim picture of a restaurant that is far from meeting the expectations of its patrons.
In conclusion, my visit to Golden Crust was marked by a series of missteps that culminated in an exceedingly poor dining experience. It is my hope that this review reaches both the restaurant's management and potential customers, serving as a cautionary tale of what to expect. A significant overhaul is needed to rectify the myriad issues that plague this establishment, and until then, I cannot recommend Golden Crust as a dining...
Read moreJust what was needed in Gurdaspur is here- Golden Crust. There are many good places to eat in Gurdaspur. But this comes in the niche category of the restaurants. Ambience is excellent: Proportionate combination of lighting, space and interiors done are visible when you enter in the restaurant.Music in the background syncs with the vibe of the place.
Staff: Cooperative
Now the main parameter- Food: We ordered Cheese Fingers which tasted heavenly with that Kitkat shake. Sandwiches with those complimentary French fries were enough in quantity to completely fulfill our stomach and mind.
Other items in display - Brownies, Gelatos look good in presentation and so are on our agenda for next visit.
Perfect place for youngsters and families. It gets crowded after 7pm on weekends.
Humble suggestions:
1.Increase the number of tables, it is gonna get crowded after some months.
Please kindly include Non-vegetarian dishes in the menu.

Read moreExtremely Disappointed – Rotten Cake Sold as Fresh! We recently bought a pre-made Red Velvet cake from this bakery for a birthday celebration. The person at billing, Mr. Singh, assured us it was fresh, but when we cut it, the cake was completely rotten from inside. Unfortunately, we had already travelled out of station and couldn’t return it.
Such negligence is unacceptable — it’s not just about taste, it’s about health and safety. Recently, a girl even lost her life in Ludhiana after consuming a similar rotten cake. It’s shocking how people have lost their moral values in the race for money.
There must be strict inspections and rules to ensure food quality. We live in Jalandhar, where bakeries like Prakash Bakery and Manaya Delicacies maintain high standards — a complete contrast to this experience.
Worst service, false claims, and zero honesty. Would never recommend this...
