Haveli is a known gem that absolutely blew me away with its incredible food, warm ambience, vibrant vibe, and unbeatable affordability. If you’re looking for a spot that ticks all the boxes, this is it—five stars across the board! Let’s start with the food, which was nothing short of perfection. I tried the poori sabji, and it was a delight—golden, puffed-up pooris that were crisp yet soft, paired with a sabji bursting with flavor. The spices were spot-on, rich but not overwhelming, with tender veggies in a thick, aromatic gravy that made every bite a joy. The tea was a standout too—piping hot, perfectly brewed with a hint of cardamom that hit all the right notes. I also sampled the veg thali, and it was a feast for the senses: creamy dal, fresh roti, a medley of flavorful curries, rice, and a dollop of pickle that tied it all together. Everything was fresh, homemade-tasting, and cooked with love—five stars for quality, hands down. The ambience at Haveli is just as impressive. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by warm, earthy tones, rustic wooden decor, and soft lighting that feels like a cozy embrace. There’s a touch of tradition in the intricate wall art and woven mats, making it feel like you’re dining in a welcoming Indian home. The vibe is lively yet relaxed—families chatting, friends laughing, and the faint hum of Bollywood classics in the background. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease, and I could’ve lingered for hours. And the affordability? Unreal. For the generous portions and top-notch quality, the prices were a steal. The poori sabji and tea combo was pocket-friendly, and even the veg thali—easily enough for two meals—felt like a bargain. You’re getting restaurant-level excellence at roadside-dhaba prices, which is rare and wonderful. Haveli nails it on every front—five stars for food quality, ambience, vibe, and affordability. It’s a place that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go—you won’t be...
Read moreSorry guys Not the same Haveli experience anymore. When we visited 4 years ago, it was just awesome
As we entered from the parking, we all felt like having Tea and coffee. I ordered it from the tea stall and asked them if it can be delivered inside the restaurant (9 tea and coffees) i asked them if the kulhad tea is a normal tea? The guy answered that it is actually”dudh patti”
We all had a a big table inside and when we went to the stall, picked up our tea tray, half way through a waiter offered us to carry it for us.
Means I specifically asked the stall guy at the first instance if the tea can be delivered to our table and he clearly declined and now one of their own staff has proven him wrong.
We then ordered one more “dudh patti” because that’s what we ordered at the stall but the waiter brought tea in normal glass i stead.
When i asked the waiter that we wanted the tea in kulhad because our table has already ordered 5 of those, he corrected us that then we should have ordered “special tea”
We then ordered few combos and were served sweet lassi with Prathas. I know we should have read that combo comes with sweet lassi but atleast the waiter should have given us an option or atleast pointed out that the lassi will be sweet.
We then advised the waiter that we mistakenly ordered sweet lassi’s ( 5 of those) can we please get 5 salted lassi’s instead? No one offered if they can take back the untouched sweet lassi’s to replace them with salted lassi.
We ordered few plates of chola bhatura, kids wanted extra bhaturas and we were told that sorry we have to order full plate.
Prathas were super dry (atleast ask us if we want with butter or without butter)
No sorry, no empathy, no customer service.
We went to Raja Dhaba in ucha pind recently , which is not as big as haweli but their food, customer service was just next level.
Sorry but we will not he stopping here again
@Haveli: i hope you will treat as a positive feedback and improve your...
Read moreA nice place with plenty to do and eat .
We stopped at the Amritsar Haveli, coming from Ludhiana and going to the Wagah Border and Amritsar.
It’s a lovely place and very scenic and you could really do with at least half a day there if not more .
There are lots of activities going there and plently to do and try . You can even buy street food as well .
We were on a tour and there was 9 of us in total and ate in the main Haveli restaurant .
What a wonderful place it was to eat in . Very decorative , spacious and well maintained .
We had a very good welcoming when entering the restaurant and all staff were very friendly and polite . There was plenty to choose from on he menu and all very reasonably priced with food quality .
There were various Thalis to choose from , dosas, snacks , parathas and much more .
The wash rooms were also of high standard and had a attendant maintaining it .
Outside there are lovely mounuments and statues , all very well maintained .
Wish we had places like this in the Punjab.
The first impression of the place itself is really grand and great. Very very spacious and built in open area. Lot of place for children to run around and play.
The place has a great mix of being modern and traditional feel of country side. What a better tradition to show than of Punjab itself. The place is carefully built for travellers and people to spend time here, like so many places inside to click photos, selfies.
The place has different counters for different cuisines like chinese, south indian, north indian. The sitting area for restaurant is really very well built and looks grand.
We just did breakfast, aloo paratha, chole kulche and some other stuff. The food was also very good and I really want to go back again if I get chance in the evening and try more stuff and spend more time there.
I surely recommend this place.
Definetly worth the visit .
Here are some pictures...
