We had a bad experience at this property. For our 2 night stay, we had to move rooms about 3/4 times, with 2 little kids and my elderly grandmother in tow. First room had a dripping airconditioning machine. We complained about it over the phone but it did not get resolved. We slept overnight in that room with dripping aircon machine. Next morning we called 3 times and no one came to fix it. I then had to physically go to reception to ask someone to come and solve the issue. I had to be firm and show my annoyance about the situation and then they moved us to another room. This second room had a damp wall with the windows leaking so there was a flood of water coming in the room (due to the rain). My elderly grandmother and daughter slipped and fell on the marble floor due to this water flooding. I had to yet again complain about this. This could have caused a fatality and by this point i was already very angry.
They then shifted us to another room which was bigger, however the aircon wasnt working properly either in one of the rooms (we booked 2 rooms). By this point i was just tired of complaining and just left it as is.
The managers did apologise for the inconvenience and kept asking how our stay was, but with the constant shifting rooms with 2 little kids and an elderly relative, it was very hectic and inconvenient. So asking us multiple times how our stay was just did not fix the issue.
As compensation, we requested if we could keep at least one of the rooms with a late checkout (we had 2 rooms booked), but was told we would need to move to yet another room if we wanted a late checkout as the rooms we were in were already booked. However, when we left the property, we noticed that no one had checked into the room we were in previously! So we had to pack and move to the final room for no obvious reason other than bad management and bad customer service really. The ‘guest room’ they shifted us to was also quite inconvenient and random as we had to walk through a smelly corridor and through the staff office room.
The property needs updating in some of the rooms. Specially the ones with damp/ leaking and broken windows and old airconditioning machines. We were also not happy with the customer service. All they kept doing was apologising but unfortunately apologising did not fix the issued we faced.
Finally, very slow service at verandah restaurant. Over 1 hour wait for food to arrive.
I will not recommend people this hotel. For the price, the hassle we had to go through was not worth...

First time they charged 500inr extra from what they told earlier for deluxe. The conversation was like," madam you are returning customer so we will be giving discount but then on the day my in-laws were leaving all of a sudden there was no discount." We let it go as later on we were told that the other boy was a new one. Second time now, my in-laws went there and we booked a classic room which was 2000 inr and we paid in advance 4000 inr in full. At that time the boy had told me that deluxe was 2500 inr. Since classic was small so my in-laws asked what was the price of deluxe. This boy didn't bother to inform me or my in-laws about the pricing. He simply stated it's very less. Don't worry. My father-in -law kept asking but he was reluctant. And he made them move into deluxe. He did not inform me 1st day either. 2nd day evening, he messages me as the amount is 7000inr for the room. I called him that how is that possible since he only told me it was 2500 per night. To his stupidity he is adding up that snana poornima is t there. I don't know why they feel that since we stay out of Orissa we have forgotten our culture. So, I told him I will pay him 1000inr extra for the room as it was the correct rate. And I am not going to pay anything extra. So, thereafter he has delayed all process for my in-laws like serving food at restaurant or delivering water bottles as room service. Added to that during checkout he didn't turn up even to give the receipts. My in-laws waited for long time & then they left. I would say "A BIG NO" to this hotel and their worst behaviour. Read moreStayed in a Suit Room for 3 night in Dec’21. The hotel is situated in between station and sea beach, around 10 minutes’ walk from Golden beach. It is situated on a busy road, and auto, e-auto are frequently available, we booked e-auto couple of times @ Rs. 50 to drop at Golden beach. The hotel appears to be a new one, with reasonably clean corridors. The check-in and check-out time are 8 am and 9 am respectively. We were allotted the room at around 9.30 am. The allotted room was quite spacious, had two queen beds with comfortable bed and pillow, center table, 4 chairs, wardrobe, wall mounted TV and AC, however, there was no ventilation. The washroom was fitted with Jaguar fittings and reasonably clean. Some basic toiletries like small soap, toothbrush etc. were provided. Two towels were provided after it was asked for. The cleanliness of the bedsheet, towel, shower curtains etc. definitely need improvement. Daily room cleaning was not done, room was not cleaned even after asked for. The staffs were courteous and moderately responsive. Our package included breakfast, which was served in inhouse restaurant named Royal Café. The breakfast options were basic and limited to Idli, Upma, Sandwich, Bread, Omelets, tea only. We had couple of lunch and dinner in the restaurant, foods were reasonably priced, large serving portion and tasty too. No in-room water bottle was provided, instead we had to buy the same.
