After a long shoot day in srivi and rajapalayam we were searching for a good veg and non veg restaurant, we have been to anandhas veg restaurant but not to non veg, actually this total place is itself a surprise package as it contains almost 4 to 5 multiple restaurants, banquet, hall, lodge within itself. Ambience of the multi cuisine Chandras was good from outside but we went straight to Ananda Vilas non veg as it had the mansion or vintage hotel kind of ambience with expectations and it got fulfilled as we had good food there. Lots of exclusive varieties of chicken sides are available here name of them itself is unique like bharath chicken, Nandhini chicken and more we tried bharath chicken and it was good, parotta here is a unique soft and very long in size kind of eating 1 itself will give you the feel of eating 2 parottas. Apart from that we tried chicken appam, kothu parotta, chicken fried rice, valiyal and more all good. Pricing is ok kind of nominal only we felt. Parking facility is avaliable within that's a great sign, as u don't find parking in other major restaurants in rajapalayam. Service can be...
Read moreClean and tidy place. But... the quality of customer service and the number of food varieties were coming down every month. At my last visit, we wanted to have dosa in the evening. Then, we looked at the menu and asked if a particular item is available. For every item we chose, we got a negative answer. Then, finally I put the menu again and asked what was really available now. He said only parotta was available. We hate parottas. So, we politely said we don't eat them and wanted to leave the place. The owner was watching all these and became angry on us for starting to leave by not eating (anything - parotta). He literally cursed behind us when leaving...
Read moreMutton Briyani. That's it that's the only dish that you need to try here if you aren't sure what to get. The Rajapalayam style briyani was really unique and a lot more tasty than the rest of the regional briyanis that I have eaten till date. Parotta - Simply awesome, fluffy and flaky as it should be. Being one among the popular restaurants in the small town it sure lives up to its legacy.
There is ample parking space and a nice little air conditioned space available too. They do have another multi-cuisine restaurant within the same building. I was told that the kitchen was common to both the restaurants and so getting almost all the dishes at both restaurants would probably give you a...
