Unfortunately, my experience at Shri Gujarati Samaj in Udaipur was far from pleasant. As a solo female traveler attending a four-day conference, I encountered several issues. The staff was surprisingly rude and unaccommodating, particularly troubling given their role in hospitality.

I was restricted to a maximum stay of three days, despite my need for a longer duration, forcing me to look for alternative accommodations unexpectedly.

Additionally, the establishment demanded higher deposits on arrival and did not support online payments, adding unnecessary stress to my travel experience. The pricing for rooms and deposits was inconsistent and seemed to change without clear communication.

The policy requiring guests to book only upon arrival rather than allowing reservations in advance is highly inconvenient and not traveler-friendly.

It's 3 o clock late night. As the rules are like, nobodyis allowed to get in during 12 am to 4 am. Me and my wife are sitting outside Gujarati Samaj gate. The security guy and executive here behaved rudely and didn't let us get in. Neither they offered any place to sit.

I wanted to speak to management regarding the same and he was like I am whole n sole here nothing will work. As we were stranger at least they could have had bit of chivalry and humanity. But they asked us to leave the place and locked main door in front of us. They didn't have basic knowledge how to speak in front of ladies around.

Best location for visiting to Udaipur for all Gujarati. Very well maintained rooms, snacks (Gathiya, Thepla, suki bhaji) in breakfast after giving order. Simple pure veg home made tasty food in lunch and dinner. Canteen contractor Mr. Nikunjbhai Baldha is very cooperative and solution provider. They also take orders for Big gathering having facilities of AC hall which can accomodate 300-400 people for lunch/ dinner.
