Penthouse Bar Kitchen & Cocktails — Restaurant in Siliguri

This place is all about ambience and decor. Service is pathetic. We ordered 3 cocktails and a couple of starters. They served two cocktails together and we had to wait for about 25 minutes for the 3rd cocktail to arrive. We also had to repeat the order FOUR TIMES - Firstly, someone took the order verbally, second time someone else came with a tab who noted it down, and then ran it through us which was still okay. And then he came back the fourth time to confirm if the right order is taken. Got a bit frustrating at this point.

Now comes to food, cocktails and starters are still okayish. We already spent more than an hour to get everything on the table and decided not to go for the main course there as we were running out of time. All that they serve only sounds fancy but are pretty much regular items coated with fancy terms. Portion is way too small. We ordered for 3 cocktails and 3 starters for 3 of us and it wasn’t sufficient at all.

Surprisingly, there was a big group right next to our table, most probably a reserved table who got all the attention. 2-3 waiters and a suited up gentleman who seemed to be the manager would come to them every 10 minutes to attend to them. Whereas we had to check 3 times just for the cocktail that we had ordered right in the beginning. Wouldn’t recommend at all. After watching an Instagram reel I went to Penthouse on a Sunday evening with high expectations. The cuisine did not live up to my expectations, even though the ambience did. Here's why 👇

Items we ordered :- A) Non Veg Galawati Kebab with Ulte Tawa ka Paratha (Rs549 for 4 pcs kebab and 4pcs paratha) - Tasteful.

B) Sheermal Lasagna (Rs599) - The portion is way too small but scrumptious. It was the only that won my heart.❣️

C) Chicken and Coriander dimsum (6pcs-Rs349) - A complete disaster. The filling of chicken was quite dry and had no particular flavor.😑

We had also ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bao but it wasn't available then.😞

Pros:-

1. If you're a picture enthusiast, this would be one stop destination for you. Absolutely Insta worthy. 👌👌
2. Beautiful decor with different seating arrangement - one below and one upstairs, each with two distinct sections.💕

Cons:-

1. There was a band playing, since it was Sunday. It was so loud that you couldn't hear the person seated next to you. We asked the staff to tone it down a little, but she flatly refused. It became impossible for us to spend a quality time there.

Review of Penthouse, Siliguri

I recently dined at Penthouse in Siliguri and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Despite the restaurant boasting a good ambiance, the overall service was abysmal. We encountered poor and slow service throughout our meal, which greatly detracted from the dining experience.

To make matters worse, our order for an Alaverdure Pizza was completely disregarded, and we were forcibly served Margherita Pizza instead. This blatant mistake not only showed a lack of attention to detail but also left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.

While the ambiance of Penthouse is commendable, the subpar service and mishandled orders overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit. Hopefully, the management addresses these issues promptly to ensure a better dining experience for...
