It is all about chocolates and everything centred around chocolates.

The story of The Chocolate Room and the delicacies served in its network of bistro-cum-cafe is getting bigger every day.

From its humble beginnings in 2007,it has grown to 265 stores across India, and now plans to rapidly expand and double the number in three years by 2020.

Chaitanya Kumar, Co-Founder and CMD, The Chocolate Room, told BusinessLine, “When we started some 10 years ago after returning from Australia, we had no idea how the business would shape up and no one cared for the idea. After our first store in 2007, here we are, 10 years old now with over 265 stores and a turnover of over ₹100 crore.”

“As we plan for the next phase of growth, we are looking at raising some funds and are in talks with some venture capital funds and hope to close it before the end of this year. As we close funding, we are looking at expanding the network of stores to 500 almost doubling over the next three years and hope to take the revenues to over ₹250 crore,” he said.

This expansion will be a combination of company-owned and company-managed and franchisee mode chain.

Over the years the chain has innovated and introduced a number of offerings to suit different palettes and for real indulgence.

The range includes fusion sandwiches, burgers, mouthwatering pan cakes, frozen coffee, fruit frappers, chocktails, sundaes, and desserts.

Chocolate n dessert lovers

All time favourite place to chill and hangout! Ambiance is decent but cool enough. There menu had all sort of delicious food with smell of chocolate and brownie and salam to katkat shake. Do try their hot chocolate also. It’s amazing. I tries nachos over there. Brownie sundaes are my favorite one. Service is quick and staff is polite.
