Aasife Biriyani (Tuticorin) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

They claim themselves as the world's best biriyani, but in reality had the worst experience. 🥴

The only good thing here is parking and the ambience. Regarding the seating: they'll relocate you based on the crowd and you have to share the table with strangers.

Service is also very average and slow. ⚠️ Be aware, the servers will push you and will manipulate you to add more dishes in your list.

Tried their mutton Biriyani, it was very greasy and didn't taste like a fresh one. No aroma, no spice flavours, nothing to be deemed as biriyani. Kothu parota was also very dry. Prawn 65 - was worst. The masala didn't blend well and the raw smell was there and they just toped with curry leaves to manage it (images attached).

Overall, had the worst experience 👎🏼 and if you prefer some good and quality food, there's plenty of other options available in...

It's indeed a bold claim to call yourself the "world's best". The shop is located not in the hub of the city but on one of crowded roadsides of tuticorin. It is a refreshing take on the non vegetarian food in the city of tuticorin.

Though the price may be a norm for metropolitan cities like chennai, the price may seem high for the tuticorin population. On the other hand, the ambience of the shop is a great positive. The taste was equally good. They did seem to strike an impressive balance between the quality and the quantity of the food. On a leaner note, the mixture of spice in the biriyani can be a bit enhanced to match up with the other aasife outlets.

The mint leaf water and the copper vessels are a nice Touch. A bit pricey, but worth the food...

On 31st Jan 2025 my son around 9pm ordered a takeaway of half grilled chicken. He in his happiness bought it as he got his salary and came home. Two of us shared. 3 pieces were juicy, freshly grilled. The 4th piece was a leg. I have never seen such a small leg with one side flesh missing as if someone has taken a bite, and dry maybe grilled long back.

If asife doesn't take care of its service very soon it will end up like other outlets who came here and closed.

I still have not told my son but definitely will ask him not to buy from here in future
