Ambur Star Briyani Since 1890 — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

There are many hotels on the way when your traveling in this route ( Bangalore - Salem Salem road) but i visited this place just because I have been to other branches of star briyani, i had worst experience here, let me put it in points

1: delay in taking the orders, they give priority based on the clothes the customer weared, and services them well.

2: I'm poor in speaking Tamil, just because I was speaking in kannada this service guy don't even responded to my enquiries.

3: when we asked for cold kinley water bottle , they gave warm water bottle. Again when I questioned on this piece they told it got over, after some time we noticed cold kinley water bottle was given to other.

4: when I asked for regarding UPI payments, they told UPI payment is not accepted i was surprised. Ok leave, i asked for bill now, again same old story delay in getting the bill, than i went to the cash counter, UPI payment was available and I did my payment UPI only ... This hotel as verry very poor management,

I advise the management to hire a well disciplined staff and also with bit traning on common sense ,behaviour and also facilities available in the hotel too.

5: we also got partially cooked chicken, in the Chicken briyani, we initially got dispointment, so we doesn't want to order much so we had only ordered Briyani. Than after receiving partially cooked briyani , than we was like thank God we didn't order much. We doesn't wanted to waste the food and money so we ate.

6: it's so funny , there are table fans in this hotel, it is only for well dressed people and vip 😂 they denied to on the table fan to us, as if we are not seen.

Overall all worst experience, think before you visit or enquiry thing in initially and than order

Wasted my time and money. Worst hotel i ever...

Go here only for the briyani; eat, pay and leave. We went here when we were on our way to Bangalore and since we had been to the original Star Ambur Briyani, we were confident that this place won't let us down. The restaurant was full but after waiting for 10 mins we got a place to sit. Disclaimer : There is no veg food or any other cuisine available like the original one. The menu is very limited and the food doesn't take a lot of time to reach your table. The service is fine and all the other amenities are pretty standard. I'm not quite happy with the pricing compared to what I received.

So, we ordered chicken briyani and nadan chicken fry. The chicken briyani was good, comes close to the actual one. The rice was perfectly cooked and the chicken was delightful. The Nadan chicken was the biggest disappointment for us. We asked the server if they had chicken fry or chicken 65 to which he said no and suggested us this dish. Nadan Chicken is basically 6 tiny pieces of chicken with a local/ traditional flavour. This dish was really good, but selling them for ₹210/- is a scam I feel, shouldn't be more than ₹100/-.

On the whole, we didn't have a good experience here. Not stopping here again, learnt our lesson. I would like to give the -

As a frequent customer and a devoted fan of Star Biryani, it pains me to say that the biryani I had at this particular branch was the worst I have ever tasted.

I have been ordering from Star Biryani for quite some time now and have always enjoyed the delicious flavors and quality of your food. However, my visit to the Shoolagiri branch left me extremely dissatisfied. Not only was the taste of the biryani below par, but I also found the behavior of the staff to be quite unpleasant.

I kindly request that you take immediate action to address these issues(Nh 48, Chinnar, Shoolagiri, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu)A renowned brand like Star Biryani must maintain consistency in taste and customer service across all branches. I strongly suggest either replacing the staff at this branch or considering closing it altogether, as its poor performance reflects negatively on the overall reputation of Star Biryani.
