Udupi Ruchi, located on the Kochi-Bangalore highway, is a pure vegetarian restaurant that offers a truly satisfying breakfast experience. As a food enthusiast, I was delighted to discover their extensive selection of dosas, which made for an indulgent and flavorsome start to the day.
The restaurant's spacious layout and ample parking space provide a pleasant and convenient dining environment for travelers. However, it was their breakfast options that truly won me over. The dosa varieties available were simply stupendous, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen.
From the classic Masala Dosa to the tangy and spicy Tomato Dosa, Udupi Ruchi caters to a range of taste preferences. Each dosa was expertly prepared, boasting a perfect balance of crispness and tenderness. The accompaniments, including sambar and chutneys, enhanced the flavors and complemented the dosas beautifully.
One standout aspect of my breakfast experience was the restaurant's quick and attentive service. The staff members were friendly and efficient, ensuring that orders were promptly taken and delivered. Their knowledge of the dosa menu was commendable, as they guided us through the various options and even made personalized recommendations based on our preferences.
While my focus was primarily on the dosa varieties, I couldn't help but notice the assortment of sweets available as well. The display showcased an array of delectable treats that looked simply irresistible. Although I didn't indulge in the sweets during my visit, their presence added to the overall appeal of Udupi Ruchi as a versatile dining destination.
In addition to the culinary delights, Udupi Ruchi maintained clean restrooms and provided adequate hand wash facilities. This attention to hygiene further enhanced the dining experience, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
In terms of payment convenience, Udupi Ruchi accepts both cash and card payments, accommodating a variety of preferences.
In conclusion, Udupi Ruchi on the Kochi-Bangalore highway is a breakfast haven for dosa enthusiasts. When the promoters started their first restaurant in Bengaluru (guess it was in 2014) S.R. Rao Sahib and Lalitha Rao Sahib had plans of rejuvenating the Udupi concept restaurants. I have visited their Bengaluru outlets multiple times and have fond memories during their early days. However I guess consistency in quality across outlets can be a tough challenge and the Avinashi restaurant must really try hard to reach there. My lunch experience was something that I wish to forget.
Thali taste was below average and service levels must go up by leaps and bounds. I do not think the price charged justify the service standards. Had to remind the person multiple times to serve a portion of Kootu and Poriyal. There were a lot of house flies on the table and surrounding areas. I had complained on the issue to the staff at the billing counter. During these times house flies can be a huge health hazard. I hope the restaurant take the required preventive steps. Regards,...
