Chellappa Hotel A/c — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

After seeing one too many reviews, I actually wanted to try Peli parotta. Picha potta parotta with naatukozhi gravy was in mind.

It was heavily raining in Tenkasi and I was getting delayed for my bus. And my bad luck, Peli was fully crowded.

So I had to look for other options. Luckily I found hotel Chellappa. My order was Chicken Biriyani and naatukozhi fry.

Chicken biryani : excellent taste with great aroma. And one of the biggest piece of chicken I ever tasted in biriyani.

Naatukozhi Varuval : It was similar to pichu potta kozhi. Cooked in coconut oil with a dash of onions and red chillies. Excellent taste and Quantity.

Special mention: Gravies

The gravies accompanied are not top notch but a little watery compared to other hotels. Got urappu gravy, normal gravy and salna. It would go well with parottas or idiyappam. But I was full with Biriyani and chicken because of the great quantity.

The best place in Tenkasi to try...

If you are a pure biriyani lover then you can visit this place. Almost all variety of biriyani you will get n its mostly ambur style. Personally for me it didn't excite me much as I have tried and tasted amazing biriyanis in and around Bangalore. But in tenkasi mostly u get to have parotas and ofcourse that's the specialty of the place so you really need to search for good biriyani hotels and challappa would be destination for that. As most of them mentioned, quality is good but quantity is less. Chicken fry was good.

Must say very courteous staff and they make sure customer treated well.

One more thing if you are driving a car, I don't think you can visit there as this hotel is in the galli road. Parking...

A 100% of worst of money and time. Infact the serving peoples thoughts make me that i went their resto for free eat. And the amout of i mean the quantity of food is nothing for a person they are charged 170 for a chicken Biriyani and it was like small bowl. In between my family asked some water one of their employees was like messing with us. So this what the experience if iam going to write on everything this could be not enough. NB : NOT...
