Update 3: Thalapakatti Food Mafia
They are charging 50 rupees+ GST for 2 boiled egg 🥚.
For 950 rupees mutton briyani bucket they are giving only 6 medium sized pieces.
They're charging 3x higher than their competitors but they're giving 0.5x lesser quantity (I mean 1 person needs 2 serving).
I don't know how much margin they have. I should stop dinning in thalapakatti.
Update 2: Their briyani quantity is less and pieces is very very less for that cost we pay.
For chicken biryani - 2 big piece in chicken biryani is fine but they will give 2 medium pieces. For mutton biryani - 3-4 tiny pieces they are giving
Because of this less quality of pieces we are forced to order any other sides when are minimum 300+ rupees. I don't know why 6 piece Chicken 65 costs 300 above when 1 kg chicken ilwas selling at 200 rupees.
Update 1:
Whenever we order online they're giving veg biryani if we order kuskha biryani. But when we visit directly they'll give empty briyani from mutton biriyani.
Their briyani is unique and tastes the same every time.
But the cost is tooo high for that small portion of briyani.
Recently they launched a new sharbat which is very good and must try.
My favourite is Kusha + Kola urundai. But cost is higher approximately 540 INR.

Read moreWith lot of expectations traveled almost 8kms to have dinner here. We reached around 7.50pm and there were only few tables taken and for the entire dine in floor only one waiter was there. We ordered one soup and three starters.
And we were waiting till 8.15pm just to get the soup. After 5 minutes one more starter came. Around 8.30 second starter came
After seeing this kind of service, we asked for mutton briyani. After 10 minutes waiter said there is no mutton briyani, only chicken is available. With no other options left asked him to bring that. And It came after 20 minutes. The biggest highlight is one of the starter we ordered around 7.50 has never came.
I heard lot of people saying that the service here is pathetic. And today I personally witnessed. Thank God we at least got these dishes. I could see people who came after us didn't have anything.
Coming to food, starters (whatever we got after 30minutes) tasted well but the quantity is not worth the price you pay. And briyani rice tasted good but it was not hot. But chicken pieces in briyani were so rough and not tendery.
We literally came with half stomach.
These guys market them as best briyani in town but you don't get briyani around 8pm
Worst dine in experience I ever had. Never ever go...
Read moreVERY WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve been a regular customer of Thalapakatti for a long time, but my recent visit to the Ambattur branch was extremely disappointing.
We came with excitement to enjoy our favorite dishes, but the manager insisted we try some new items under offer. Sadly, this turned into a regret. The food was delayed, and when it finally arrived, it was unbearably salty, watery, and completely off in taste. I even requested the manager to taste it himself, but he flatly refused and simply replaced it with another equally bad gravy.
As a starter, we ordered Moru Moru Chicken, something I’ve had here many times before but this time it smelled bad, tasted raw with masala overpowering, and was honestly inedible. When I questioned, the manager casually said, Recipe has been changed.
This is unacceptable from a brand like Thalapakatti. If recipes are being changed frequently and dishes are served without proper quality checks, why push customers to try them? Please don’t recommend dishes that aren’t up to standard.
I walked out very disappointed, and as a loyal customer, I strongly feel Ambattur branch is letting the brand down. Not...
