Hotel Balaji Ariyas — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

🕒 Worst stop, unpleasant experience.

Our bus driver halted at this rest stop around 2:30 AM, and what should’ve been a quick break turned into a frustrating experience.

🚻 Restroom: Just okay in terms of cleanliness, but they expected money even for basic use, which felt unfair.

💸 Overpriced & underwhelming:

Water bottle priced at ₹30 — clearly overcharged.

Tea/Coffee tasted bad and still cost more than it should. No value for money.

⏳ Poor service & biased treatment: I stood waiting for 15 minutes, only to see the staff prioritize tea for drivers and their known contacts. As a regular passenger, I felt completely ignored. I couldn't hold back and ended up arguing — not something I usually do, but the situation pushed me there.

I recently visited one of the braches of Balaji ariyas that is on the way to trichy from madurai near a place called Melur. To be exacts its near a place called Karungalakuzhi(Madurai-Trichy route highway) food quality was totally waste, I would've given a Zero star if there was an option. Water had mosquitoes in them, even after repeatedly asking the servers to change the glass of water they never responded. Zero hotel management and staffs were rude that while placing the food plate on the table they were careless and poured Sambhar on me and never apologized for it nor provided any tissues for cleaning it. All the private buses stops here at midnight. my native is tirunelveli. Yes, the tea and coffee rates are bit high. But i never had such a wonderful taste in any other motels in TN who charges the same amount comparatively. They uses real cow milk i think. They are not using packed milk. So the taste and aroma of the tea is top notch. Feel like worth for every penny we give. Also you wont get such kind of taste anywhere especially in other motels!
