We really like the food here. Two stars for the new supervisor/ manager (with a french bread) who kept interuppting while we were enjoying our food. We ordered dosa, idly n romali roti. Initially the server served 2 banana leaves only for the dosa orders. Unknowingly the server placed the leaf for my mother who ordered idly. When the server noticed my son ordered dosa he kept another leaf for my son but the supervisor asked the server to move the leaf that had chutneys from my mothers spot to sons spot. I appreciate the server for serving another leaf knowing it might cause a bad vibe. But the supervisor was harsh towards him. My husband was served with one romali roti and panneer butter masala. He was hungry n he might have eventually asked for another one. Server served extra romali roti in a basket without ordering. The manager asked rudely why is he serving extra roti. Then TOUCHED the roti that was in basket checking for how many he served with his BARE HANDS. Then asked us whether we ordered extra. We said no. He immediately took that basket away. This was such a bad behaviour for a supervisor. He could have instead told us that extra romali rotis are chargeable amd if we want that roti, we might have happily taken that as well. Touching the food in our table with his hands is unacceptable behaviour. Any person who works with food knows customers dislike touching their ordered food. This behaviour from a supervisor was irritating. We did not order more even though we did not complete eating. Please learn some etiquettes before working as a manager...
Read more"My experience at Hotel Sri Amuthas was quite disappointing. I had high expectations, but the overall service and quality fell far below what I had hoped for.
Cleanliness: The hygiene standards were lacking. The room wasn't properly cleaned, and the linens looked old and stained. The bathroom was also not well-maintained, which made the stay uncomfortable.
Customer Service: The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. Whenever I asked for assistance, it felt like I was bothering them. They were slow to respond to requests, and their attitude was far from welcoming.
Food Quality: The food was another letdown. It was bland, cold, and lacked freshness. Given the reputation of the place, I expected much better. Even the traditional dishes were poorly prepared.
Ambiance: The hotel felt outdated and lacked a pleasant atmosphere. It was noisy, and the overall vibe wasn’t relaxing.
Overall, Hotel Sri Amuthas failed to meet basic standards of comfort, cleanliness, and service. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless major...
Read moreDisappointed with portion size and hygiene at Hotel Sri Amuthaas
My recent visit to Hotel Sri Amuthaas for dinner was unfortunately quite disappointing. We ordered a pav bhaji, but the portion of bhaji was very small, barely enough for one pav. When we requested more bhaji (even if it meant paying extra), the server surprisingly refused, offering only additional pavs.
Secondly, we ordered a tomato uttapam. To our dismay, the server split the uttapam with their bare hands, without wearing gloves. This raised serious hygiene concerns.
While I appreciate the location and the ambiance, the portion size limitation and lack of attention to hygiene were significant drawbacks.
Satish is the person who takes the order nor the high official Sankar bothered to attend to...
