Worst service . There were many people waiting to be served and no one from the restaurant cared to serve or atleast tell the people that it would take some time . We waited for 20 minutes and got a seat on the table which needed to be cleaned and waited for another 10 mins .The cashier was an old gentleman and a cleaner lady was complaining to the cashier that no body wanted to come out and clean nor serve .He was helpless . After 10 minutes of waiting at an uncleaned table a waiter crossed by and since we were 5 people and my daughter requested if we can have additional chair . He was so rude in replying which made us feel that he was serving us free food and we were waiting for food hand out . We walked out of the restaurant . The security guard asked us if we had our lunch and I complained about the incident . The restaurant has a security guard managing the entrance , If you are not able serve or if your waiters are not intrested to serve the guest , the restaurant could have informed the guest so that we don't waste our time . We went to a another veg restaurant about 2 km away . The minute we entered the waiters managed to get us a table and an additional chair . The food was good and I was told the price was much cheaper compared to this restaurant.
Overall it was a terrible experience to come very far...
Read moreIf there’s one place that knows how to blend tradition with taste, it’s Karaikudi Annalakshmi Hotel. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly ground spices, sizzling tavas, and slow-simmering gravies welcomes you like an old friend. The ambience may be modest, but what truly steals the show is what lands on your plate. Every bite brings out layers of flavor — from earthy spices to nostalgic home-style notes — that remind you of a time when food was made with both technique and heart.
The variety offered is impressive and well-curated, with unique items you don’t often find in typical South Indian restaurants. The balance between health, indulgence, and tradition is where Annalakshmi really shines. It’s evident that they don’t just cook — they care.
This isn’t just a place to eat. It’s a place to enjoy, to reminisce, and most importantly, to return to. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates honest food with depth, warmth, and a true taste of Karaikudi. Once you dine here, it won’t...
Read moreManagement is very poor ... Went last week for lunch by 2pm to park or car it nearly took 15 mins because there is no parking area for that restaurant, there is no proper place for the vehicles to go in and out. Then we went to be in queue to find a place for us to dine after 10 mins we found a table of 4 with only 2 seats. We are around 6 people 4 adults and 2 kids. Since we got 2 seats we thought of ordering food for the kids first, even when ordering the food they didn't say that they were out of food for that day, after more than 20 mins a lady came and said that there is no food to serve. Worst management ever seen, if there is no food they could simply place a board outside the restaurant. Going out of the restaurant took another 15 mins. We wasted around an hour of our time without food, and the kids started to cry out of hunger. Not just us who suffered at that time, but other families were facing the same...
