KFC — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Sorry, this review is not about KFC but about the 'Namma Veedu Vasantha bhavan' hotel adjoint to KFC. நம்ம வீடு வசந்த பவன் VASANTHA BAVAN vegitarian hotel. Near Senkurichi toll booth on the highway. Had vegetarian lunch full meals on 06.6.22. at about 2:00 p.m., on the way to Tiruchirapalli from Chennai. ₹140+GST ! The price of meals (named as CHENNAI MEALS) is really HUGE and unreasonable. பகல் கொள்ளை ! Very costly. The food stuff is not up to the mark, very ordinary lunch. The lady waiter took more than 20 minutes to attend us. And another 10 minutes to serve the food. To pay the bill the waiter did not turn up and I myself went to the counter and paid the bill. I have decided not to go to this hotel again. Just because people come in cars, you cannot charge them unreasonably High. Note: The rest rooms are dirty and foul smelling. Highly unhygeinic ! No maintainance at all. Don't go inside. You may vomit. ...The water coming in the WASHROOM is too salty. If it goes in to your mouth accidentally, it is intolerably salty. Again I remind and confirm that this review is not about KFC not about KFC not about KFC but about Vasantha bhavan நம்ம...

Dropped by KFC and went with the classic combo—a Zinger burger and a chicken bucket. The Zinger delivered big time. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. It’s exactly what you'd expect from KFC—no surprises, no disappointments. The chicken bucket was solid too. That signature blend of spices still holds up, and the meat was tender with a decent crunch on the outside.

That said, the chicken pieces were too oily. Not just "a bit rich"—we’re talking noticeably greasy to the point where it overpowered the flavor after a few bites. I get that fried chicken isn’t health food, but there’s a difference between indulgent and excessive. It just made the experience feel heavier than it needed to be.

Service was quick, staff seemed on top of things, and the food came out hot, so props for that. No issues with freshness or packaging either.

Bottom line: the flavor's there, the execution is close, but the oil level on the chicken needs to be handled better. Fix that one issue, and it’s an easy go-to for a fast food fix. Until then, still decent—but not quite hitting...

Went to kfc for a quick bite staff was preety friendly and helped me in selecting a combo which was worth for money. Also to snack a bit ordered chicken popcorn large and french fries. Chicken popcorn was top notch it was neither over fried nor under fried it had perfect level of crispness. Have took a chilli sauce dip and it acted as a perfect dip for the popcorn. After that started munching down French fries. But not sure whether it was because of having popcorn at first the fries were less salty. Even though it was fried perfectly they must have added some more salt. When it came to super saver combo everything was just perfect. Wings, strips and fried chicken was awesome and we swapped all our Pepsi for Virgin mojito and it was just perfect. To summarize 5 stars to people over the counter for their friendliness. 4 star for food all because of less salt in French fries. Other than that it's a good experience. Hope they get double decker fried chicken...
