I went this outlet of Loiee earlier this week along with my family. Going through the menu card, we wanted Tandoori Roti and Lancha Parantha but we were told that only ‘Phulka and Chappati’ and a few dishes were available. The phulkas and sabji came but we didn’t get any plates. The service was so pathetic that we had to specifically call someone and ask for plates. Similarly, we had to ask for tissue paper and three sheets were handed over to us as if we had asked for a share in their profits.
While the price of the thali has increased in the last year, there has been a proportionate decrease in the quantity of the sabzi, rice and other accompaniments also that came in the thali. I think a Lijjat pappad would be bigger in size than their phulka worth Rs 30/- each, that too without butter. The mushroom masala was so salty that we would have got salt crystals had we put it out in the Chennai sun for evaporation.
I wanted to check out a few of the sweets kept on the display counter but dropped the idea as the price wasn’t mentioned anywhere. I find it difficult to digest a Kachori which is priced at almost Rs 40/-. Last October, it was just Rs 20/-.
I remember a previous incident at another Loiee outlet a few months back. There were four of us adults and we had ordered several items. Towards the end of the lunch when we asked for a bowl of curd with sugar, the guy who was taking the order said, “It will be charged extra”. Naturally, hum aapke ristedaar thodi hai ki muft me dahi shakkar de de!! (We are not your relatives for you to give us free curd with sugar). Instead, we were given a bowl of raitha.
We are paying for the food and the service, don’t behave as if you are doing us a favour. I mean, your prices are at a three-star level but the service is so dismal that it doesn’t deserve even a single star. In my experience, smaller hotels or even a dhaba gives a better service.
Overall, it was such a disappointing and frustrating experience that I have decided never to step in at any of your outlets again. It’s just another overpriced and maybe, an overhyped place that ought to be ignored. Looking back, now I realise why there was hardly anyone around in the restaurant even though it...
Read moreOverwhelming price severely awful taste.... I ordered vada pav(Rs45).... it was butter fried pav stuffed with potato filling, raw onion slice and too much chutney...If you want to refer to authentic vada pav try the Bombay snacks stall outside Chennai Silks store near Velachery station... I had also ordered a bhel puri that I threw into the dust bin after first spoon of bite.... using khata meeta chewda to make bhel is the worst decision.... onion, tomato, chutney(imli and dhania or pudhina ), puffed rice, sev and chat masala are more than enough to make the taste good. Pani puri is priced Rs 70 and above for less than ten pieces..... the sweet pani was literally pani( water) with a pinch of sugar taste and was contaminated with some sort of oil... only the spicy pani was somewhat bearable.... I get that you run a store that has AC so price is high.... but A2B also runs such a store their quality has never failed especially then it comes to pani both the spicy and sweet version.... kindly employee a new chef... Your food...
Read more2 weeks back went here for dinner. Taste wise things were good. Now again we went there, but the experience were very bad. Seems like they have shortage of Cooks, so they only serve Chapati and Panner Butter Masala. If they really cared about Customers they should say this when people are being given the menu. Only when we order the items they stated that what ever we say is not there. Even they didn't care to tell what is available.
I got real feedback from other customers there that Cockroaches on the Sweets in this shop and they are not even covering the sweets properly. I was getting sweets from here only till now as it is nearby to me. Atleast now I got to know about this place and So I will avoid it.
Please don't go with the Brand Name. Some shops like these deserve...
