I visited this restaurant on Ramzan 2023 for lunch with my friends. We got a table immediately when we entered the restaurant, but they took 15-20mins to give the menu card. Which they gave after i informed the cashier near the entrance. The person who took the order was not active or attentive when we gave the order.
Later the food arrived in 10-12mins and we started having our lunch. We ordered Mutton Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani, Parotta, Mutton Paya. We started having Parotta and Paya first, so we kept the consumed bones in the vessel which they brought Parotta. Since they didn't give bone plate.
Later the waiter came to ask if we wanted anything else, suddenly he raised his voice and asked why did you keep the bones here. I replied politely you didn't give quarter plate or bone plate to keep, so we kept it there instead on the table which I not hygienic. He replied how we can serve breads for other customers, then i said obviously you have to wash each vessel after you serve every customer. No matter it is Parotta bowl or unused plates etc.. He showed some angry face and left.
Later we finished lunch and to ask for the bill, there was nobody around the table or service area. Also while finishing our lunch we remember that we ordered Mutton Samosa, which the waiter didn't serve us. Hence we tried to call other waiters but they were not ready to attend our table. As if they have boundaries between countries. Later the waiter who took our order said that he forgot about the samosa.
Then again we had to reach out to the cashier directly for bill. I'm not sure if there is not enough waiter or the waiters are lazy to attend every customer.
My overall experience was bad and we kinda regret visiting...

I was hungry and I was getting back home from T Nagar and happened to cross this Nostalgic place, Hotel Majestic, on the Mount road next to Audi showroom.
I've been it's customer for 12 years, and the renovated Majestic looked all new (haven't visited them for a while now) The Waiter gave me the Menu card, and I told him, 'Idhellam vena naa, namma kada parottavum chicken curry kudunga..' ('Don't need this menu card, bring your Hotel's favorite Parotta and chicken curry'). With all the new renovation in place, I wasn't expecting the same old taste of Majestic, but to my surprise, the parotta and chicken curry tasted exactly like how it used to be 12 years ago. Brought back all memories of me and my Dad visiting this place years ago. The kerala style chicken curry with coconut milk and coconut in it has less oil, spiced up with green chilies rather than red chilli powder, and the taste just makes you not stop with one parotta (their parotta are quite big and wide)
Ended up having 2 parottas with chicken curry, and they provided with extra curry as well, a nice gesture. Pic attached - and that's how the parotta should be served to self at this place. Neraya curry, konjam kari, konjam Parotta. 😍
Finished the meal with their authentic tea they serve in cup & saucer. Tea wasn't the same as it used to be. Average.
Foodie notes : Try their mutton samosas with tea in the evening, the place is kinda porsche but pocket friendly.
Taste meter :
Parotta & chicken curry - 9/10 Tea - 5/10
Pricing :
Two parottas for Rs. 40,(Rs. 20 each) Quarter portion of chicken curry for Rs. 110 Tea for Rs. 15 Total bill was Rs. 173 including GST. Worth the money!

Read moreWe had our worst ever experience here recently. We visited the hotel on a normal weekday for lunch, but it was crowded, the hotel management took absolutely no effort in managing the crowd right from the parking area to cleaning the table and accomodating guests. The attitude of the bearers was horrible may be because they were loaded with the job of managing entire second floor. Most of the common food items like biryani, appam etc not available. The Paya we had ordered was served uncooked and we had to return it back and the bearer hesitatingly replaced it with a tiny piece. Surprisingly the cost of the uncooked, raw and sticky paya was more than Rs.300. Please note, it is a overhyped restaurant, with poor hygiene, unclean environment and unfriendly staff.
To top it all, the cost of the food here is very high compared to standard non veg hotels, not as mentioned in some of the reviews. Because there is no non vegetarian restaurants in and around this area, this outlet is surviving for a long time.
If you expect a decent, hygiene, pocket friendly and nice restaurant for enjoying your food with your family, please skip this hotel and proceed to nearby T nagar area, where you have got umpteen number of non vegetarian...
