Mami Mess — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This is purely my personal experience and giving honest feedback being a Veg. Foodie. First of all, this is not a Mami mess, this is Non-Brahmin Veg. Mess That's all. Mami mess's name is Fake. Yesterday I had lunch, it is worst taste, half boiled rice, Cabbage, chaw, chaw kootu. For Rs.80/- cost is not worth it. Food is not worth even Rs.50/- The reason they replied is the vegetable cost is too high. As per their statement, If vegetable cost is cheap they make a good profit if cost is high either they should increase the cost explain this which everyone knows otherwise stop selling this poor quality meals. At the same cost, we will get good tasty food from a nearby hotel. All pilgrimages were misguided by the name board Mami mess and after eating they were highly disappointed and missing the authentic Brahmin taste and menus added with Onion and Garlic with masala. Normally Bramin lunch does not add masala except occasions rarely added onion and garlic. Please reach Kumbakonam (6 Kms) and have wonderful lunch at Mangalamibiaka (Kumbeswaran Swami sannadi or another one in the same name in the nearby street only serve authentic...

I have booked A/C room in Mami restaurant, they charged me Rs,110 ( 1000 rs, charge per day and 100 is caution deposit), however when I occupied the room which they provided the room is not clean and Rat is completely rolling inside the room, I have call the room incharge and inform the situation, then they ask me to shift to another room, within 30 mins of time there is AC fitted in another room but full of dust and not been cleaned , again I have called the room incharge and inform the situation. They ask me to take for non A/C room which I am not happy and I told like I will vacate the hotel, but the hotel incharge are misbehaved and they didn't refund the amount. I am totally disappointed, I have asked the management officials number to report the incident but they denied to provide the contact information, so people please be aware before selecting this kind of hotels in future. The room incharge named was not trained properly to assist the customers and they are not professional to be for hotel assistance. I am totally not happy and lost my peace during the whole night which i spent. Poor service and...

This place is serving simple home made South Indian tiffins and meals. I visited this place for their meals. Food was very nice and of high quality, served on a banana leaf. This plc is only for those who have a liking for Tamil Bhramin style cuisine - boiled rice (unlimited quantity, btw, for rice hoggers), sambhar, rasam, one additional kuzhambu, poriyal, kootu, appalam, mor & oorukai. It's very close to the Murugan temple and hence very convenient for temple visitors who would like to walk to the plc. I would have given 5 stars based on quality and freshness of food, but I want to hold back 1 star as the mess needs to improve cleanliness. I understand they are not adequately staffed as compared to restaurant chains, however they can do better on basic things like cleaning the table properly after a customer has eaten, etc. Definitely recommend this plc for good...
