Palmshore Restaurant Koyambedu — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I visited here after hearing from my partner that the food and service here was really good during their previous team lunch. But to her's and my surprise their treatment was very poor and was extremely lethargic.

There was a guy with tattoos on his fingers, who never cared to ask us for our door, we kept track of the time, it took a 15 mins of staring at him to get his attention.

I've visited here for the second time despite their poor service during our previous dining, as she craved for their Mandi Briyani; which has gotten over as we arrived, we won't blame them, It was around 10:30, so, we switched to Manchow Fried rice and Shawarma... Again Shawarma was not available... So, we settled just for a plate of Manchow Chicken Fried Rice... I asked for some mayonnaise to taste it as my partner mentioned that the mayonnaise they serve was top notch; When I gently requested for the mayonnaise, the guy named Umesh/Umang, started checking our plates out and questioned us that, "What's the mayonnaise is for? You seemed to not have bought any chicken?"

I politely asked him that I just wanted a little to taste it... That guy Umang/Umesh, sarcastically asked the waiter to serve us with a "Little mayonnaise" while emphasizing the word "Little". His sarcastic and judgemental approach made us really sad.

I told that guy that we actually wanted their signature Bbw Mandi Briyani but unfortunately we weren't able to get it then... For that he replied that "You must have called and booked for it earlier, if you could have done that, we would have kept a little mandi briyani aside for you" His words did not sound and felt to be considered as an okayish or proper way of communicating with a restaurant's customers. ..

Followed by that, again the waiter/order taker guy continued to ignore us, he was looking to his phone and walked here and there... abruptly failed to notice and ask us if we needed anything... All we wanted us was to pay the bill and get the hell outta there... He didn't come to us... Until we all walked to the bill counter, and paid for the order ourselves.... The bill was found to be rounded off with +₹0.50 and as a total it was ₹242. I only paid ₹241.50 as I was paying through UPI and there was no need to add the + ₹0.50 they could have put - ₹0.50.

We walked out the restaurant swearing to ourselves that we'd never return to this branch as a customer.... That thin guy who was a waiter/supervisor and the manager Umang/Umesh need there attitude corrected! His approach and the way he handled us was so poor and it made sure of one thing that we will never return here as a customer.

Ramzan is coming to an end and hence was looking to try as many iftiar special items as possible.. Since the start of the month one iftiar pack that was getting many comments was that of Palmshore restaurant.. So zeroing on it i called up their ramapuram outlet to know if they can arrange a delivery.. And gladly they were kind enough to do the same through Rapido..

Ordered 3 Iftiar packs and 3 extra Arabian Grape Juice.. was delivered on time.. The Packing of needs a special mention for sure.. A hard box with neatly lined up compartments for each item.. The Box was literally loaded..

Given below is the list of items

Chicken Kizhi Parotta : The star of the meal.. A slightly miniature version of the regular one.. But had 2 parottas well soaked in a yummy chicken salna with couple of pieces of juicy chicken.. Was well wrapped in banana leaf and then in foil to keep it hot..

Mutton Haleem : Was quite surprised as it was really good in taste.. Small 100gms box with little amount of fried onions.. The Haleem was well mashed paste and really good in taste.. A haleem worth trying..

Mutton Mandi : Hands down the best mandi in town and when pairing it with the sauce its just top notch.. A small piece of mutton was however was slightly under cooked.. Overall good..

Shawarma : A smaller variant with a decent filling in it.. The overall texture was however slightly dry.. But taste wise no issues..

Samosa : These were Mutton Kheema Samosa.. The yummy kheema mix inside a crispy samosa shell was just too good that left me wanting for more..

Chicken Barbeque : Good in taste and also perfectly good.. But slightly on lesser side of meat.. But the little meat was juicy and tender.. The Mayo served together complemented the barbeque very well..

Nombu Kanji : Thick and good consistency with a decent taste..

Arabian Grape Juice : Ordered this separately as i love this and this didn't disappoint.. thick with loads of deseeded grape pulps.. Definitely a drink worth trying..

The other items were usual stuff.. Good juicy dates.. Mineral water bottle that was perfectly chilled.. Varieties of cut fruits.. And a thick watermelon juice..

For 370rs excluding taxes and delivery charges this meal is just complete VFM.. Not only acts as a Iftiar pack but also a dinner combined.. This pack will keep you filled till sahar and for some this will keep you going for the fast of the next day too.. Definitely...

1.It was big disappointment on the service. We went there almost 8pm. The restaurant hardly had crowd. We ordered chicken soup, starters and mutton biryani 3pax... To our shock , when we finished eating starters, we were informed that mutton biryani isn't available. That too almost an hour we came there. The waiter was forcing us to take chicken biryani. Since we ordered almost all chicken starters, we wanted to finish with mutton biryani and that too we ordered at the beginning itself. Now we were insisting him that we wanted mutton biryani only. For that waiter said that he can serve us mutton ribs biryani. We somehow accepted to bring that. Again after sometime, we had similar response that this biryani was also not available. We were like really disappointed. We had no other choice but to go for chicken biryani. The service was also very late. We left at almost 10 .15pm. More than 2hrs we were inside. Our car was in the valet parking. I gave them the token and asked them to bring my car. To my surprise, the front wheel was punctured. I asked them, it was good when I gave them for parking. And they had no reply. I really don't where did they park my car . It was late night. Couldn't get any puncture shop.
