Sri Madhuram Pure Vegetarian Restaurant, Tenkasi — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Deeply Disappointed by Staff Rudeness and Lack of Basic Hospitality:

We recently dined at this establishment and ordered a substantial variety of dishes noodles, fried rice, chilli parotta, kothu parotta, rice, butter naan, and kadai paneer expecting a good time with friends/family.

However, what followed was utterly disgraceful. A staff member rudely interrupted us and objected to us sharing a small portion of rice (made with dal and ghee) that was not even from their kitchen. This wasn’t about splitting one meal. we had clearly placed a large order. Yet, we were treated like freeloaders.

Instead of understanding the context or speaking politely, the staff member insulted us publicly and asked us to move, causing unnecessary embarrassment. Where is the basic courtesy? Where is the hospitality? Do you expect people to sit silently and not share among themselves when multiple items have already been ordered?

This experience was not just disappointing it was humiliating. The behavior of the staff reflects either poor training or a toxic attitude toward customers. Either way, this is unacceptable.

I hope the owner reads this and takes corrective action not just a copy-paste apology but actual accountability and staff sensitization. Until then, I cannot and will not recommend this place to anyone who values basic human decency.

We are regular customers for Hotel Madhuram in Tirunelveli for their quality and great taste for a long-time during my childhood. My family moved out of Tirunelveli, so we missed the ambience and foodstuffs from Madhuram. We craved for proper South Tamil Nadu meal whenever we eat-out at any restaurant.

Recently, we had an unplanned visit to Tenkasi and had to have lunch somewhere in and around the city. Tenkasi lacks a decent vegan restaurant and my family was worried about travelling hungry. Surprisingly I noticed Hotel Madhuram in Tenkasi, Courtallam road in Google Maps. My family didn't believe and they avouched internet data to be dubious. Yet I wanted to give a shot to the place. To our surprise the Hotel was from the authentic chain of resaurants from Tirunelveli. My family was happy and had a hearty meal.

We had the wholehearted meal with all delicacies and my favourite Aviyal from Tirunelveli. I really liked the ambience and cleanliness at Tenkasi branch. The food tingled my childhood memories and my tastebuds. We also met Mr. Manikandan, founder of Madhuram group and he was indeed happy to have us visiting them from a long distance. We had a nice time kindling memories from the past.

It is indeed a surprise to find Hotel Madhuram in...

Actually in the beginning it was good... But now a days I specially feels that they are serving very old items which is cooked and stored for 2 to 3 days I respect of Gobi Manchurian dry .. mushroom Manchurian dry and panner Manchurian Dry...even the garnished items over them also old... When I asked the server he told shamelessly that Gobi Manchurian dry will have this texture only... Thinking I have never tasted such Chinese items elsewhere... Very pathetic... I experienced this not at one occasion but several items ... So be cautious while choosing food.. and if u feels like old food.. date to ask them frankly... So ok nly they could realise that customer have sense of taste...

Also added to that when I wishes for a plain pulka set they denied to make it for me saying...it should be ordered along with some Chinese gravies live panner butter masala etc.... I was in a diet and requested for such oil free fresh food which I can have with kurma or etc... they didn't support...as I was scared to order Chinese side dish and it will definitely served with old frozen ones...

Be cautious while choosing food for u and kids.. as all things cooked some days older...go for some foods like fresh dosa or idli it...
