The Best of Chinese Fast Food — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I fondly call them "The Best Biriyani" for a reason. About six months ago, I began a quest to find the best biriyani in the Velachery, Thoraipakkam, and Perungudi area and I found one at Tharamani, LOL. I was literally ordering biriyani from different restaurants via Swiggy every day until I stumbled upon The Best of Chinese Fast Food. The moment I tasted their biriyani, it was game over for the others. Their authentic Chennai-style biriyani is exceptional, and their kathrikka (eggplant curry) is hands-down the best I’ve ever had with biriyani in my life.

Since that discovery, I’ve stuck with them, ordering biriyani regularly. There were a few off days where the quality dipped slightly, and consistency was an issue in the beginning, but I kept faith. Over the past 2–3 months, they’ve significantly improved, maintaining their quality and flavors consistently.

I’ve also visited the restaurant in person a couple of times. It’s a humble, ordinary place, not some plush or fancy spot, but the warmth of their hospitality is worth mentioning. They treat you like you’re an old friend, even if it’s your first visit. I even had the chance to meet the staff packing those delicious biriyanis I enjoy so much and shared some feedback, which they graciously welcomed.

The downside is the location—it lacks parking, especially for four-wheelers, and the overall ambience isn’t great for a family dining experience. If they could relocate to a better space with parking and improved interiors while keeping the same food quality, it would be perfect.

Well, I thought of giving a rating 4 initially, but reduced it because of following reasons:

1. No proper parking 2)Overall hygiene and congestion

And following are good:

1. They have a small A/c room, so we can go with family and small kids in summer.
2. Overall food is tasty
3. Friendly staff

They have a board kept outside meals Rs. 60/-. But it's just bite to catch those who looking for meals at low price...same meals served bin A/c room is Rs. 100/- and non-vegetarian meals Rs. 140/- Outside open area you will still get Rs. 60/- meals on a banana leaf...tricky?

My friends and I have ordered chicken biryani from this restaurant several times, but the consistency of the dish has been disappointing. On a few occasions, we received delicious biryani, but subsequent orders have been of poor quality. Sometimes, we have received only chicken bones, while other times, there has been no chicken at all. On one occasion, we received chicken gravy pieces in the biryani.
