Review for Big Barbecue:

We recently booked Big Barbecue for a group of 35 people and, unfortunately, faced a lot of miscommunication with the staff, which left us quite disappointed.

Firstly, there was confusion regarding the price per person. The staff had initially discussed certain discounts with us, but during billing, the pricing turned out to be different. If you’re planning a bulk booking, I highly recommend getting email confirmation and solid proof of the agreed pricing beforehand to avoid such issues.

Additionally, the staff had previously agreed to allow popper blasting, so we brought all the items accordingly. However, once we arrived, they refused to allow it, which was frustrating.

There were also numerous restrictions, making the experience less enjoyable. Honestly, I would not recommend this place for bulk bookings. If you’re visiting as a small group (2-4 people), it might be fine, but for larger gatherings, it’s best to consider other options.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service and communication...

The food is overhyped. The taste and the mismatched cost leaves us dissatisfied at the end of the day. The grill is not hot in fact it ice chilled inside, the pineapple spoiled without even noticing that they served us. The prawn was over burnt and the fish undercooked. Nothing was that good to be satisfactory. The gravies and the variety they had could be better if they enhanced the taste. One or 2 sweets maybe good to taste. In thanjavur as we do not see a buffet and a grill box around much, this could be our one time experience. But instead of this buffet, a normal restaurant dining would be a better investment. Spending 3500 for a family of four with everyone being dissatisfied with what they ate on a sunday afternoon, try...

The ambience is pleasant, but the food falls short of expectations. We visited for dinner, and the barbecues were neither fresh nor adequately sized. The variety of starters offered was very limited, especially considering the price charged per person. The main course was also disappointing, and the desserts failed to impress. If you’re planning to dine with a group, it might be better to choose a different restaurant where you can order as per your preferences. Not only will the bill likely be lower, but the food quality will also be better.

They charged around 800 per person, yet they don’t even include a water bottle in that price. We had to pay for it separately.
