During my visit to the Leela Palace, I was captivated by the beautiful lobby. Coincidentally, I arrived just as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team were heading off to practice at the stadium 🏟️. Previously, I had dined at Jamavar, the Leela's renowned restaurant, and had a wonderful experience there.
Typically, my outings revolve around visiting cafes to enjoy caffeine and a quick bite. I found that cafes and some hotels offer similar pricing, one such example being The Lobby Lounge at the Leela Palace.
At The Lobby Lounge, I ordered a cappuccino, which was served in a generous portion. While I appreciated the size, I felt it could have used more espresso to balance the milkiness. Accompanying the cappuccino were cookies, which complemented the drink nicely. Additionally, I indulged in their Mango Passion cake, which featured a smooth, creamy texture and the fresh taste of mango. I am sad that given the ambience they could definitely redo their hi-tea menu and serve tastier food. A terrible let down for my kids who had high expectations...

From parking to finding a table, it was amazing and easy as it can get. We came here for High Tea (priced at 1.6K INR + taxes) and I liked most of what I ate. The only disappointing part was that the scones weren't warm enough. My favourites were the Accompaniments with scones, Mimosa, and Macaroons.
Service - the girl who picked our order was polite, set expectations and had comprehension. However the guy who delivered and got us the receipt, overcharged us, and had zero comprehension of what we were asking for. Customer service is a WIP.
Would I come...
