I have been wanting to write this review for a very long time !

To start with, I am not an avid sweet or a dessert kind of person, but then I developed a great liking for the cakes and desserts, and I am proud to say all the credit goes to Sharmidev-Bakes and the experience I had with them over the years. I have no words to describe how the baking at Sharmidev-Bakes changed the way I look at the cakes.

Yes, the owner is my friend and my college mate, we have known each other for nearly 20 years now, but that doesn’t bias my opinion about their cakes and pastries. Luckily, I had the chance to see how my doctor friend had changed into this amazing fine professional baker over time and the amount of dedication and finesse she puts into every other finished product that’s made. Also, I am very lucky to be one of those very few to get a bite to taste it before the product is launched to customers. There are many such fine pastries and cake flavors; I got to know only with them and after I had tasted them. There is always perfection and high-quality ingredients when it comes to making a perfect cake. Every cake is perfectly made to its finer details. The taste is just so authentic, that only very few fine places can reproduce the same. I am glad I got to taste most of their exquisite varied menu.

My all-time favorite with them is the French OPERA cake, that’s something I have ordered repeatedly with them; being a coffee and a chocolate lover, I adore this cake and I can bet Sharmidev-Bakes makes this cake to perfection in Chennai. I did taste this in one of the very high-priced fancy fine patisseries- confiserie-boulangerie shop and they simply failed to impress me.

Some of the other orders I relish are Tiramisu esp. their cute Tiramisu-Tub cake, Belgian chocolate, Baileys- chocolate cake, Biscoff cheesecake, Choux, Financiers, almond flour cake and of course their brownies and cookies varieties !!.

Without any doubt, I strongly recommend you all to try Sharmidev-bakes especially when u want to try some authentic taste and if you would like to customize it! Cheers Sharmidev-Bakes !!

Awesome - to summarise in one word. Dr. Sharmila takes tremendous effort in understanding the requirements of her foodie clients and leaves no stone unturned to satisfy them. She painstakingly crafts her baked cakes and goodies and it shows in the taste. We have enjoyed her eggless creations too and honestly we haven't tasted anything close to her bakes. The ingredients are healthier. Her cream and preparations are fresh. The cakes are soft and the taste always lingers. You cannot just eat one and stop!!! She also gives correct guidance in the exact way her bakes can be enjoyed the most. Perfection to the core. She delivers what she promises. If she feels she cannot do justice to what's being asked by her foodie clients, she humbly conveys that she would not be able to accept the order request, thereby making no false promises. She also actively involves herself in the planning stage in helping us decide the cake design or suggesting other baked items as accompaniments. This shows her passion and it never fails to show...

Sharmidev Bakery is a phenomenal, one of a kind bakery in the city. Sharmila is a next gen baker who gives a modern twist to the classic cakes. She is very mindful of giving 100% authenticity to cake's country of origin. I lives in US and ordered Tiramisu cake for my mom's 60th birthday. My mom is not a big cake fan but loved Tiramisu when she was in US. My mom and dad loved Sharmi's Tiramisu cake and kinda gulped it all like two little kids.
