Visited this place on the way to mannavanur last week and boy what a huge disappointment and a waste of time and money this place was!!!! This place hasn't held up in terms of food, coffee, service, or ambience.
We were a group of 5 and ordered a plate of peri peri fries, a bowl of pasta, one pizza and hot chocolate each. While the fries were great, the pasta had absolutely no taste to it, the pizza lacked any topping on it and the hot chocolates were a bit inferior for its price (400-450 each) . Ordered whipped cream on one of the hot chocolate and it was served in a tiny minuscule shot glass ,which I had to scoop out which ruined the whipped cream experience for me ...
Service was extremely poor, the person who served us only spoke Hindi and was extremely rude and stern , not friendly at all. We had to literally ask for basic things like utensils and he bluntly said no for our request to switch on the AC on that unfortunately hot middle of the day. We also had to remind him for orders as they seemed to forget about it, even though we were the only group of customers there. Finally we ended up paying more than 4000 rupees for the worst experience of the trip.
Not to mention the lack of proper washrooms, for which we had to get a key which opens the gate to three ancient looking washroom stalls which had stagnant brown colored water for washing . Absolutely disgusted by it.
I just thought everyone should know that the standard is nowhere close to what is mentioned on any influencer platform, and don't get fooled by the look of the place from outside.
It's not worth the unclean and poor service and the mediocre food. I would give a 0...
Read moreLet me detail me own personal experience during my vacation. This restaurant is located in the mid way between poombari and Kodaikanal.
Parking: You need to park in the road or park in some off road, no security to help the tourist who come here newly or no security to guide you.
Service: You need to have a English mixed communication or other than Tamil language so the billing counter people ( a lady and guy) will respond you properly, if you speak Tamil and if your not in modern outfits you'll be treated like beggars who enter here for freebies. The way they treated me and my wife thinking we don't know English or any other language, as we were in a simple attire without any make over. I have asked them to give a tea without sugar and they feel this preparation is kind of rocket science and asking me three to four times to confirm and after that it took 25 minutes to prepare and serve. And we are asking to them when the tea will come, when the tea will come and they behave like w are asking freebies.
Quality: Zero percent they maintain the quality of anything. Just they throw some garbage as food to you and you need to eat that. For God sake they don't even know to prepare a Maggie noodles which is filling their menu card.
Pricing: Everything is over priced and none other than Maggie noodles and bread items will be available to serve if you ask during crowded times
Their pricing is premium and the service and quality which they offer is so horrible, believe me for a Maggie noodles you need to spend your time and money , where this noodles you can get in a...

Even for just a black coffee, you have to wait atleast 20 mins. They even have display boards stating that you have to wait atleast 20 mins for your order. They are really true to their words.
We were the only customers in the restaurant. We placed order for one milk and one black coffee. The restaurant supervisor took the order and then made a phone call to the owner to get permission and instructions to take the milk, sugar and coffee powder. Once she gets the approval from the owner to use milk and sugar, she called the waiters/cook and conveyed the message. But sorry, she spoke in tamil and the waiters/cooks knew only Hindi. Then, we helped them with the translation.
Once the message got conveyed to the waiters/cooks, they (3 guys who can be called as waiters/cooks) discussed and came out with an action plan to make black cofee and milk. Then, the plan was executed and we were able to get the coffee. They will not deliver it to your table. U have to pick it from the counter.
We were 2 customers. But, the restaurant had one supervisor, one helper, three chefs/cooks and a owner who monitors everything remotely via phone calls. Still the waiting time was more than 20 mins.
So, if you are free enough to enjoy all this drama, you can visit...
