Mataam Al Arabi Errakunta — Restaurant in Telangana

One of the top places in Hyderabad where you can have the best Mandi & Khabsa with Chicken, Mutton, Fish options.

It was well recommended by many of friends and colleagues as the must place to try for Mandi and I wasn't disappointed either.

The entire lane where Mataam al Arabi is located has other similar joints who serve the same dishes but are pale in comparison in terms of taste or quality.( Yum Yum tree is the closest contender)

Setup : You have a huge area which is carpeted and you need to leave your footwear outside and come in , sit on the floor and a small stool is provided to keep the plate on.Traditional Arabic style of eating

Food: I have tried Chicken,Mutton,Fish,Fahaam with Mandi/Khabsa combinations and they are quite finger licking good.Good thing over here is the rice and the flavor it carries of the spices that are used which is less or missing in other joints. Barkas is filled with many Mandi shops , though Mataam Al Arabi is one which outstands from the rest because of its structure and building , I was left disappointed after having Mandi here. Pros - Good Ambience , Meat quality was good , attentive staff , fast service , Hygienic , option of sitting on dining table and chairs , good parking. Cons - 1.Extremely high rates compared to others in vicinity. They don't provide free soup like other restaurants , you will have to pay for it. No free Mayonnaise , you will have to pay for that too. 4.Confusing Menu. Quantity was a little less for the price that it comes with.

Overall - The food was good but other restaurants also serve very good food , it's not like the taste is very unique but the quality of meat was good. But I was very disappointed with rates , they were higher than others and at that rate charging separately for Soup and Mayonnaise was very very disappointing !!

Was it a good experience ? - Yes ! It was a good place but very expensive !

One of my friend took me here during the Night to have mandi (मंदी) which is one the Arabian cuisine. Served on the big plate, spread with long grained flavoured rice & big pieces of mutton and studded with dry fruits and onion. Flavoured. Accompanied with tomato rayta...Yum...Yes it was a total and we ended of took 2nd serving. After the Main course we have 3-4 delicious desserts Like Cream Fruit, Added and One more (I don't remember name of that). The late midnight sunder was sumptuous. The restaurant has separate AC family section. It remains open till 4/5 am. Staffs were really courteous. The total bill amount was just under Rs 950/- for 4 people. People have to open the footwear and then enter the restaurant as here is separate place for people to dine by sitting on the cushioned floor.
