Updating my review from 3 years ago, gave it another shot. I feel there are many paid reviews on here by local guides. All my pointers from 3 years ago still stand valid, in fact, they've gotten worse! Maybe they don't rush you as much because the whole train -hype has died down, thus not many visiting, but I belive this has to do with the quality too.
Honestly, THE WORST RESTAURANT I've visited till date. And I sure have visited some really good places ranging from the mid tier to the top tier. This place is built around the "train delivery" hype, because otherwise, everything else is below low tier.
From food to the service, nothing was good or worth tipping. The only reason why this restaurant or more like, this chain of restaurants is receiving all the attention and hype is because of the social media promotions, especially via food related YouTube channels. Besides that, IF YOU WANT TO EAT GOOD FOOD, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO.
First let's talk about ambience and service. Chaotic Environment. At any point of time there are over 200+ members in the restaurant, all sitting pretty close to each other. The photos with empty seats make it look spacious but when it's crammed, it is not a place you want to be at if you want to relax and have some food With the continuous chatter and loud music playing, you can't really enjoy your food(if it was good in the first place at all) if you want to.
Besides the food service guy who served the food on the plates once the food was bought to the table, no one else was respectful or "chill" or "friendly" for that matter. Given the pointless hype these guys are deserving, there's too much rush at this place with a lot of people waiting and all that these guys care about is BUSINESS. Making money comes before customer satisfaction.
They give you a table AND FORCE YOU TO DECIDE YOUR STARTERS AND MAIN COURSE ALL AT ONCE, so that YOU EAT AND GET OUT FROM THERE TO MAKE SPACE FOR OTHERS. Their logic is "more customers == more money" and thus they do not care about customer satisfaction or comfort. This is a restaurant, not a product that you're selling where customer volume is what matters. Along with volume, satisfaction is a key metric. The waiter was arrogant when we told him not to rush us about deciding our order, because like every sane restaurant customer, we wanted to first have some soup with some starters and mid way through that we wanted to decide what to order for main course depending on how full we are. BUT THESE GUYS DON'T GET THAT POINT, THEY TALK RANDOM STUFF ABOUT HOW THEY ARE TRYING TO SERVE US QUICK BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE TIME. When the waiter was speaking this way and rushing us over and over again before our starters had even arrived, we asked him to call his manager as this was not acceptable. The manager comes over and starts speaking in an arrogant tone saying that "sir, you are a customer but all the other customer's waiting outside are important too, we need to make space for them, by moving you and others who are already seated, out as soon as possible". And this is when it all started making sense as to why they were rushing us.
The Manager refused to share his name because he was afraid of being mentioned in a review, thus you understand how professional or confident they were in their service.
The FOOD was very spicy. Like, a good level of spiciness is nice, but this was just horrible. No proper flavoring for any of the curries besides it being spicy or you just tasting a random clove or something, if you order biryani. The chicken curries and veg curries, despite their complex names which make you think they are good, all of them were GENERIC IN TASTE, WITH NO REAL FLAVOR.
I WOULDN'T SUGGEST ANYONE TO GO THIS RESTAURANT, unless you wanna just try it out for the sake of it. And it's an absolute NO if you just wanna have some good food in a peaceful environment with good ambience.
I suppose they are living up to their name, it is as chaotic as a railway station, if only, louder.
