Kerala Oottupura ( Cloud Kitchen) — Restaurant in Thane

Have been waiting for long to try out this outlet. In my first couple of attempts I couldn't locate / contact them. Then one day, I accidentally found them at a different place nearby where they have relocated some time back. It is not a restaurant, but a cloud kitchen and they also take party / catering orders. There is no dine in facility. However a single person can be accommodated on the table where their admin stationary and other items are kept. On my first visit I tried roast mutton and kerala paratha. And I had a very bad experience. While thenparatha was OK, the mutton was horrible. Not marinated, not cooked properly. Couldn't even chew it. I showed it to the owner and his reaction was that he will speak to the mutton supplier 🤔 No regret, no substitute or not even a sorry. I thought it may be an exceptional episode so decided to give another try. Then second time I ordered Nadan chicken curry parcel, and the experience was not very different. Probably they are not aware that there is something called marination which is a step in the non-veg cooking process. The chicken was dry and chewy. Hence I concluded not to give it another try. I had a terrible experience after ordering Onam Sadhya. I really wish if I had read the negative reviews (especially about Sadhya) before making the order. On Onam day my family had to stay hungry due to their pathetic services. Food didn't come till 3 pm. As nobody picked up my calls, I had requested to cancel the order through a message. Till date, I haven't received a refund of the money that I had paid towards the Sadhya. It was a total waste of money, efforts and on top of it staying hungry on a festive occasion, hoping that food would come soon was an extremely bitter experience. Some leftover sambhar in the fridge saved my day. Lessons learnt: Never ever order from Kerala Oottupura, especially don't entrust your festive occasions to them, they are not capable of delivering the orders that they take. Extremely disappointed!!!

Very Very bad experience. We booked Vishu Sadya meal on 11/04/21 for delivery on 14 /04/21. The occasion was special and hence we shelled out Rs 580/- for the meals plus Rs 30/- for delivery. In spite of following up several times, we were told that due to heavy demand, there would be a delay in delivery . Ultimately, we received the meal at around 2:40 PM. When we opened the pack, we were shocked to see that many of the items promised in the Vishu Sadya Meal were not provided. No Ghee,No Sambar , no Rasam, no Sweet, no Kela Wafers, No banana ,No Beet and Pineapple Pachadi, No Popadam. We struggled to eat the rice since there was no Rasam / Sambar and had to eat the same with Avial. The meal was not even Rs 150/- worth . We tried to call Kerala Ottupura almost 15 times but never got a call back . Think 10 times before ordering food from Kerala Ottupura. This is not the first incidence. Last month also , we had once ordered meals on one Sunday and got the delivery at 3:00 PM. One advice- never pay in advance . If the delivery is late, you can at least cancel the order.
