I dined at Hotel Sangeethas four times in a single day — breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner — and overall, it was a decent experience with a few ups and downs.
The South Indian breakfast items were served with good authenticity in terms of taste, but the portions were quite small, especially the medhu vada, which was surprisingly smaller than the palm. The ambience is pleasant and the air-conditioned setting adds comfort, though it also reflects in the slightly higher pricing.
Lunch, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. The dishes lacked flavor to my Andhra tastebuds and nothing really stood out except the small roti and curry. On a positive note, the quality of rice was quite good.
For the evening, I tried paniyaram, and they were a delightful surprise — crisp, tasty, and well-prepared. The filter coffee here deserves a special mention for its rich South Indian taste and perfect strength.
The menu lists a wide range of dosa varieties, but it was disappointing to find that most were not available. Surprisingly, masala dosa was not available. All the other hybrid dosas such as paneer cheese mushroom are served. In fact, I got the feeling that the menu card is quite messed up. It feels like a gamble — you pick an item, and the staff replies, “Not available now, only served in the morning/lunch/dinner.” They would really benefit from clearly indicating time-based availability right on the menu card.
For dinner, I opted for Parotta and Kurma, which turned out to be a satisfying choice and a good end to the day.
Overall, Hotel Sangeethas doesn’t disappoint, especially if you're looking for a comfortable dining experience with some authentic South Indian flavours, though menu clarity and consistency in availability need definite...
Read moreIn a city steeped in temple lore and culinary tradition, Sri Sangeetha’s stands out—not just for its inventive menu, but for its heart. We walked in expecting a good meal. We walked out with full stomachs, happy memories, and a new favorite waiter: Anthony.
👨🍳 Service: Anthony, the MVP
• Friendly, patient, and genuinely warm. • Took time to answer every question from the curious kid in our group—whether it was about dosa fillings or ice cream flavors. • Even surprised us with chocolate ice cream instead of the usual vanilla—and it turned out to be a hit!
🍴 The Food: Tradition with a Twist
• Chocolate Dosa: Yes, you read that right. Crispy dosa with a gooey chocolate center—part dessert, part breakfast, all joy. • Chilli Milk Idly: A bold fusion—soft idlies soaked in a spicy, milky gravy. Unexpected and addictive. • Ice Cream with Gulab Jamun: The ultimate comfort combo. Warm, syrupy jamun meets cold, creamy chocolate. Yummm is an understatement. • Variety of Idlies: From classic to creative, each one was soft, flavorful, and beautifully plated.
👶 Kid-Friendly Vibes
• The staff didn’t just tolerate kids—they welcomed them. • Questions were answered with smiles, not sighs. • The atmosphere was relaxed, making it easy for families to enjoy without stress.
🧘♂️ Verdict: A Sweet Spot in Trichy
Sri Sangeetha’s blends innovation with hospitality. Whether you’re craving quirky fusion dishes or classic South Indian staples, this place delivers—with a side of kindness. And if you’re lucky, Anthony will be your guide through the menu.
Would we go again? In a heartbeat. Especially for that chocolate dosa and the...
Read morewe used to dine at sangeethas whenever we visit tamilnadu.
recently we've been to this WB Road branch,Interiors were so good,we expected the food and service also to be upto that standards.
but the service by the staff is pathetic, they rudely make us wait outside, and didnt care if we wait or leave the place.
and after long waiting we got a seating, they took another 5-10 minutes to take the order,
we asked for a special item which was advertised all-over the place, but the guy (dressed-up in safari, and looked like a security guard) who looked as if he never smiled in his entire life. rudely said "only idly dosa available" as if we are not worth exclusive dishes,
we didnt want to make any issue,so simply ordered idly and dosa, and surprisingly nobody came to our table to ask if we need any side-dishes, we were left unnoticed/unserved
everybody exhibits same rude attitude towards customers
now the most frustrating thing happened, while we are about leave, another group of young girls seated next to us,the same safari suit guy suggesting all the exclusive dishes to them with a grin mile-long, we came to know he simply forced us to order ordinary dishes, but suggesting exclusive dishes only to young girls.
we were so irritated and wanted to bring these fellows attitude to...
