Grounded.cafe — Restaurant in Tiruporur

Grounded is a standalone cafe on the kelambakkam-vandalur road. Cosy interiors, good ambience and wonderful service is the first impression one gets when they come here. I went in around 9.30 pm on a Friday Feb 2nd. My order consisted of:

Chicken Cordon Bleu Burger : A beautiful spongy bun tossed in butter having 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 cheese slice, gherkins, mayo. Served with fries and yummy chipotle sauce. I asked the waiter to exclude onion and the point was duly noted. So full marks for service here! The quantity was quite good. The only feedback I had was that the fried pieces of chicken were a but overcooked and dry rather than juicy. So reducing 0.5 star for this. Total : 4.5/5 Cheese / Chilli Cheese Garlic Bread Toast : I asked the waiter to give me 1/2 portion chilli cheese and 1/2 only cheese though they were 2 different dishes (same price) on the menu. The same was accommodated too! 8 pieces were served with ketchup. The cheese was of good quality. Seasoning was a bit bland (lacked salt) which I managed with oregano and it turned out to be fine. However the bread was a tad bit dry - could have been buttered a little more with garlic butter. Total : 3.5/5

In the vicinity of Mambakkam, Kelambakkam, Sithalapakkam, Medavakkam, and Vandalur, I would say this is the best cafe to choose for dinner. And let me list out the reasons below.

I. Experience: Right from the interior work, lights, decors, to the furniture, you easily get your mood all set for a pleasureful dinner.

II. Food: Trust me, I had the best sandwich I ever had in my life. But not just sandwich. Whatever you order, be it pizza, pasta, sandwich, ice cream, juice, smoothie, or shake, everything is as authentic as it can get. Of all I had, my favorites are:

1. Char-grill veg panini sandwich
2. Tuscan grill chicken cheese sandwich.
3. Pink pasta
4. Mexican pasta
5. Grounded special chicken delight pizza
6. Vanilla-flavoured ice cream

III. Price: It's just what it has to be. No exploitation because they built such a premium-looking interior and all. Even for more price, there are restaurants in the city that will give you only regrets.

IV. Service and Cleanliness: The service was also good. The waiters are warm and approachable. The place is very clean. And there is a decent space for parking too.

I'm sure, this place can be your blind choice for your weekend, or even work...

Crowded on a Sunday late evening..so decided get some dessert takeaway only..Already visited this cafe few times.Since it was crowded no one was there to attend the desert counter..The problem is not that though..We waited and a person who made juices asked us " takeaway? We asked what we wanted;when we pointed out a chocolate dessert for takeawy,the person said "it is ₹65";we felt that is unneceassry,I have been to many posch cafes abroad..but not a problem if they dont know about me,but why unnecessarily mentioning the price? If any earlier customers behaved so,then they should not assume everyone would price concerned.If I am price concerned why would I come to takeaway atleast dessert amidst crowd.

Irony is their staffs dont even know how to pronounce or display some names on the counter..saw some spelling errors.Atleast the cafe owner could understand this review,I guess.Whatever,improve your service and don't concentrate on unnecassary judgements
