Well, Biryani is up to its name and fame. Before you try do remember they cook both Chicken and Buffalo meat biryani(obviously NOT BEEF until and unless someone wants to get lynched) so this goes without saying that order according to your taste buds and 'sentiments'. Don't expect great hospitality or something. If you got a seat to eat it must be your lucky day. Although, you would get same Biryani nearby at Khalifa Biryani also. This is densely populated locality of the city having vibes of old Delhi streets. Infact, it is one of early habitated area of Moradabad. Apart from Biryani you would get delicious other Mughali cuisine too in few outlets out there. Now, for the Non-Instagram-Wanderers, with in 100m from Alam Biryani there is a graveyard in front of Galshahed police station where freedom fighter Nawab Majju Khan was hanged on a tree by Britishers after dragging him tied with an elephant. That tree is still there intact. Ask for Pukhta Sarai or Pakki Sarai for the glimpse of some unnoticeable and neglected heritage. This whole Sarai is invisible which is occupied by locals but it has three huge wooden gates you could see at all three entries of it which are almost ruined. When you stroll towards Sarai on your right hand just before the huge wooden gate there is a small hole in the wall grocery shop. Say my Hello to the wise old man in white beared sitting there. #wanderlust #oldcity #up #biryani #moradabad #foodie...
