Don't keep your hopes very high. I found this place quite disappointing in some aspects. As we enter you will see a counter. We went there at 2:00pm and had to wait till 3:10 to get a seat. This is how they treat their customers. Their excuse was that there are booking and we can only give you the seats once the people who have booked it have not shown up. Around 5 tables were empty and then finally we got a seat at 3:10 and the place stays open till 4:30. So we had only 1:30 hours to hog everything up. The counter guy was very disrespectful and ignoring my requests. Food was ok, starters was good. Main course was disappointing the non veg section had only 2-3 variety of food. The starters and the grill was taken off by them quite fast. He told me you would bring whatever we want later on and that the grill's coal had burnt out. Only to realise later on that there was some kind of time frame for the starters and once taken off we could not have starters again. And now we were stuck with the main course and deserts. I asked him to bring me some popcorn like chicken which he said would request specially made by the chef. It took around 20mins and it was quite tasty. After which I asked him could I get another plate and he said "No it was made on special request and is not on our menu". I had the main course of prawns Curry and it wasn't good the prawns were hard and I did not even eat the main course it was that bad. Dessert was good but not outstanding. The funny thing was there was no plates for dessert & main course along with spoons. We had to make rounds again and again because they kept running out of clean plates. The only positive thing was student's discount which saved my money or else this would have been a waste. Desert was decent and not amazing. Also NO COMPLIMENTARY DRINK they said we do not give complimentary drink on Monday...
Read moreSomething always kept me occupied or sometimes my tummy full, to pay a visit to BBQN outlet in Allahabad. Atlast today I visited it.
Ambience- decent. Comfortable seating and good lighting.
Food- Non veg- Live grill starters: chicken, kebab, fish and prawns. Personally, I find their prawns tastiest. Main course buffet style. Pick whatever you want. I find their dum biryani too bland; but you can always get any dish customised according to your taste. Veg- paneer, Potato, mushrooms, pineapple. Main course buffet style. Pick whatever you like. I love their Crispy masala corn and Cajun spice potato. Also, they repeat whatever item you liked as many times as you wish. Your satisfaction is their prime motive. Their desserts is cherry on top, esp paan kulfi and gulab jamun. Tip- Starters is better than main course.
Staff- well trained, polite and extremely attentive. FYI they never take any tip for their brilliant service. The whole staff comes to wish and sing with on house cake, if there's any special occasion. You can also take a tour of their kitchen.
Price- Cheaper than metro cities outlet and also cheaper if you compare to a la carte of other restaurants. On weekdays non veg is priced at ₹599, veg at ₹539, plus tax. On weekends, non veg at ₹733, veg at ₹637; plus tax. Lunch price is around ₹100 cheaper.
P.S. Make reservation via their app for hassle free experience. Most of the time it's jam-packed with people, esp on weekends. P.P.S. on first time booking you get ₹150 off.
Sorry for such a long review but Allahabad finally has a BBQN outlet and it's a must go for everyone. It's not the same as other cities outlet but then it's far the best buffet option that we have...

I’ve dined at Barbeque Nation outlets in Lucknow, Noida, and elsewhere, but this Prayagraj visit—during the “Kukadh Carnival” promotion—was my most disappointing.
Service lapse: A server accidentally spilled a full, chilled mojito over my elder brother, soaking his clothes, phone and wallet. Staff only offered tissues—no apology, fresh drink, or goodwill gesture. They even forgot that we ordered 3 Mojito, but serve only one after the incident.
Misleading menu: The Carnival promised several new chicken items, yet only two were different from the regular spread. Our usual favourite, Bhuna Mutton, was refused because of “Chicken dishes is more priority” as promotion of "Kukadh Carnival" is there; we were told to settle for a single mutton dish in the main course.
Hygiene concern: I found a hair in my dessert (cake), raising obvious questions regarding their hygiene.
Taste inconsistency: Some dishes, like Chicken Tikka, had an excessive amount of salt—out of 3 pieces, 2 were noticeably over-salted. This points to poor quality control in the kitchen.
Management absent: Despite these issues, no manager visited our table and nothing complimentary—beyond basic table clearing and mouth freshener—was offered.
Overall decline: Service and staff attitude have noticeably fallen since my last visit on 1 January 2025, when the experience was excellent.
Bottom line: As a regular customer, I expected far better. Until training, hygiene, and customer‑care standards improve, I cannot recommend the Prayagraj outlet—especially when other city branches still deliver the quality Barbeque Nation...
