If you are planning to host a wedding in Doab Vilas there are some points that you need to take care , which will help you plan better.
Take an audio recording of every deal made between you and the hotel management. Alternatively, take everything in written with the manager's signature on it. We opted for gold menu and dish items were increased to some level from the base menu. Like snacks were increased from 4 to 6 , Maincourse from 6 to 8 , chat counter from 4 to 6 , desserts from 3 to 4. These were all penned down by manager on the menu. But two three days before marriage, while fixing final menu, Doab vilas refused to accept that they had increase chaat counters from 4 to 6 and made this deal with us. They dont even trust the commitments made by their own management. Which led to a lot of arguments but to no avail. You cannot trust the doab vilas front office team. If you make a deal, make sure everything is in written/recorded.
Decoration - Never Trust Doab vilas for what they show you regarding decoration. They will give you many options but at the end they will do what they want. We were given options to select phoolo ki chaddar , stage , jaimalla. Phoolo ki chaddar was entirely different from what we selected also one its leg was broken and made from artificial flowers, despite being promised natural flowers for decoration but in entire decoration 90% they use artificial flowers and some places where they use natural flowers there they put withered flowers. Main stage lamps fused Bulbs. There was no creativity whatsoever. If you want things according to you way you have to stand at the spot and be bit strict with the staff to get what you want else they will do nothing.
Snacks - They did not serve snacks on main bride & groom dinner table, quoting that the snacks were to be served only till a particular time. No waiters with snacks were sent during reception of Barat.
Taste of food - Its the only place where doab vilas stands best. Food during breakfast , lunch and dinner was really good. Doab vilas kitchen and service was really good.
Front office behaviour - Front office managers were not cooperative. For everything they only had a big "NO" as the reply. They were not available during marriage time. The night shift manager was very cooperative though.
Air Conditioners - At least 4 rooms out of 15 booked were not functioning. Despite many repeated requests the ACs were not rectified.
Hygiene and Sanitation - Rooms and Bathrooms were generally clean. However, the soap dishes in the shower seem to have not been cleaned for months. There were no bathroom mats/equivalent. Also we were told that 2 water bottles will be given in each room but room service only provide 1.
Safety Lockers - Safety Lockers kept inside the cupboards were not functional.
Invasion of Privacy - In the absence of guest the hotel staff entered the rooms using the master key to remove TV from one of the rooms without...

We books the Venue (pool side for marriage and the sapphire hall for Ring ceremony) 2 months before the event. The arrangement by the team was so pathetic that the decoration we discussed and the decoration she gave was completely different and se promised to give 70% original flowers, but the real flowers were only 30 % of the total decorations. The Stage was different from what we discussed. Luckily the Cold Pyro they gave we didn't used because it was not cold, as the carpet started burning at the time of trial. In Mandap they promised to decorate with real flowers, but that too was artificail flowers. Also they took full payment before the marriage and the statement of Ms. Geeta was "Baraat aane se pehle puri payment karni hogi". Who says like this? We are not running away from marriage. They took all the payment because they know the arrangements are not upto the satisfaction level. Also at the time of refund for cold pyro, they didnt refunded the amount at time, they took 2 weeks to make a refund. I must say that please avoid any function in this resort, better to book...
