Visited this place recently with high expectations, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the ambience it promises.
Ambience: The setup is quite appealing at first glance — wide open spaces, fairy lights, and a garden feel. There's also a Glassdoor seating area with tables on either side, which is a nice touch. However, the noise levels were unbearable. It was so loud that we could barely have a conversation. When we requested them to lower the noise or take some action, there didn’t seem to be any noise absorbers or measures in place.
Hygiene: This was a major concern. Despite the decent cutlery, there were flies and mosquitoes around, which made the experience uncomfortable — something that really needs attention for a place aiming to offer fine dining.
Service: The staff was okay but didn't appear well-groomed or trained to match fine dining standards. We had to serve ourselves, and even when we requested large plates, they arrived late — we ended up starting our meal with quarter plates. The service lacked attentiveness.
Food: This was the most disappointing part. We ordered Shami Kabab — it had hardly any mutton in it, mostly tasting like dal or fillers. The mutton biryani didn’t fare any better — the meat pieces were unusually large and not enjoyable, and while the rice was decent, the quantity was quite small. Presentation was completely lacking — as if plating wasn't even considered.
Overall, while the place looks promising from the outside, the food and service do not live up to the mark. Definitely room for improvement in...
Read moreThe staff is so I'll mannered and so unprofessional. The food is good but the staff , the manager, the servers are damm rude. I went for my birthday celebration. They said no for decoration. They said no for bringing our own streamers. They said no for even the music. We got our own speaker but they kept on instructing us to lower the volume and we didn't even play the songs for more than 20-25 minutes. They even didn't allow us to use party poppers.Guys if you don't believe in customer service then you better sell off this restaurant to someone who believes in it. This is the worst experience that I have ever had. Train your staff to talk and deal with people politely and also tell the manager to face the unsatisfied customers. I am extremely disappointed. @The Green Door restaurant you indeed lost some potential customers just because of this nuisance, rude and unprofessional and behaviour of yours. Learn something from some trained professionals. Or else take feedback from your customers. Some genuine customers and not...
Read moreWe went to The Green Door for a family dinner and overall had a lovely experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful — the ambiance is amazing, very aesthetically pleasing, with thoughtfully done decor that makes it perfect for a cozy dining experience.
The food tasted just as good as the place looked — flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. The service was also prompt and courteous, adding to the positive vibe. Parking is available, which is always a plus in the city.
The only issue we faced was during rain. The main exit area of the restaurant got slightly flooded, making it inconvenient to reach to our vehicle in parking area. The artificial grass pathway from the sitting area to the exit also retained water, which made it slippery and uncomfortable to walk on.
If this one concern is fixed, The Green Door would easily become one of the best dining spots in Bareilly. Still, highly recommended for its food, decor, and...
