One of the worst experiences in Tunda Kebab located in Aliganj Lucknow the ambience is also not good and if we talking about the service WORST. I went over there from Agra ti Tunda kebab with my family to enjoy the dinner over around 22:30 hrs and the sitting is available also at the time of ordering a dinner the Staff force us to order before 23:00 hrs and he told ne that after we will not accept any order so we order a 9 plate of Kebab and around 20 Paratha and after that i went to a Resturant manager about the dinning and order so he assured us that we’ll take your order and you can enjoy the food so we said that okay and thank a lot for this thing after giving the order it took around 30min that means when the dinner was served it’s already 23:00 hrs and at the time of serving the meals the waiter told us after this we will not accept and order from your side and we have to finished the dinner ASAP in 10/15 min because they are closing the restaurant so without enjoying or doing anything we finished the meals like I DON’T HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE TGE HORRIBLE SITUATION. After that before the billing some one from the Restaurant Mr. NAIM ( I DID’NT remember the name properly ) he asked us how was our experience and all. So I told him the whole the scenario about the situation and he was like who take your order and all, without saying a SORRY, he was trying to put the allegation on a waiter you’ve taken the order. So I told him if you guys have some this kind of closing time issue and all don’t try to make FOOLS the customer just to earn and make money. It is better for your restaurant that you will not take a sitting after 22/22:20 hrs. Because the customer is coming over here to enjoy the time with family and friends, SO STOP MAKING THEM FOOLS AND STUPID.

BUT BEING AS A CUSTOMER OR TOURIST IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES IN MY LIFE IN ANY...

When you are in Lucknow, eating at Tunday Kababi is almost like a ritual for anyone wanting to explore the city’s rich Nawabi food culture.

The Aliganj branch carries the same charm and flavors that have made this name famous across the country.

The star here is undoubtedly the Galouti Kebab. With its legendary history of being created for a Nawab who had lost his teeth but not his appetite, the kebab is so soft that it practically melts on your tongue. The spice mix is subtle yet complex, giving it a royal touch that reminds you why Lucknow is called the city of Nawabs. Pair it with a roomali roti roti and you’ll understand what makes this dish world-famous.

Apart from the kebabs, the place also offers a spread of Awadhi delicacies—mutton korma, biryani, and sheermal are especially recommended if you want to go beyond just the kebabs and enjoy a complete traditional meal. Portions are satisfying and prices are very reasonable, making it a popular spot not just for food lovers but also for regular family outings.

The ambience in the Aliganj outlet is simple and functional—not about luxury but about authenticity. It’s always bustling with locals and visitors alike, which itself speaks volumes about its popularity. Service is quick, and the food is very reasonably priced considering the reputation it carries.

Parking in the area can sometimes be a bit tricky, but that’s a small compromise for food that defines Lucknow’s culinary pride.

For travelers, this is not just a restaurant visit—it’s an immersion into Lucknow’s culinary heritage. A plate of Galouti here connects you directly to centuries of Nawabi tradition.

Overall, Tunday Kababi Aliganj is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience—whether you’re a local revisiting flavors of home or a traveler eager to taste Lucknow’s most...

Yes, Tundey Kababi is a famous kebab restaurant in Lucknow, India, known for its flavorful and tender kebabs. The restaurant has a rich history and is renowned for its traditional Awadhi cuisine, especially its melt-in-your-mouth galouti kebabs. Tundey Kababi is a must-visit for kebab enthusiasts!

Tundey Kababi in Lucknow is a legendary kebab joint famous for its exquisite flavors and melt-in-your-mouth kebabs. The restaurant's history dates back to the 1900s when Haji Murad Ali, popularly known as Tunday, created the iconic galouti kebab recipe. Tunday, who had only one arm (Tunday means 'one-armed' in Urdu), mastered the art of crafting kebabs using a unique blend of spices and techniques.

The galouti kebabs at Tundey Kababi are a culinary delight, known for their tender texture and rich flavors. These kebabs are made with finely minced meat mixed with aromatic spices, creating a dish that is both flavorful and luxurious.

Over the years, Tundey Kababi has become a landmark in Lucknow, attracting locals and tourists alike who flock to savor the authentic Awadhi cuisine. The restaurant's legacy of serving delicious kebabs has been passed down through generations, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a taste of traditional Indian flavors.

If you are in Lucknow and haven’t visited Tunday Kababi, then it’s of no use of visiting Lucknow. As this branch of the highly acclaimed restro is near my college, I decided to visit and give it a try. So, I visited this place along with my friends. This restaurant is a bit difficult to find if you’re visiting for the first time. It is situated in a narrow lane. There is a building in the lane which can be seen from a distance and has Tunday Kababi written on the building tower. Well, there are various seating arrangements here. If you want to eat outside, there is an open counter for that. For the inside seating, there are normal seating, Luxury seating, etc. etc. Well, this branch is a bit expensive as compared to the other ones. We came here to have only one dish, Mutton Kebab and Paratha. So, we ordered Tunday Galawati Mutton Kebab and Mughlai Paratha. The stunning Kebabs: After a long time I was having Lucknowi Galawati Kebab and was really not disappointed. The Kebabs really melted in the mouth and were very tasty. Whereas, the Mughlai Paratha was huge in size. It was also good. CONCLUSION- Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Total Experience: 3.5/5 Highly recommended place for non-veg lovers! Must visit.
