Read moreThis Hanuman Temple is built by Begam Rabiya of Nawab Mohd. Ali Shah Bahadur in Lucknow. One anecdote mentions the Begum once had a dream that there was a grand statue of Lord Hanuman buried near a garden and that was instructed to be taken out in order to place it in temple's sanctum sanctorum with full dignity. As soon as she was blessed with a child, the Nawab immediately statred excavating that place. To his utter surprise they found a statue of Lord Hanuman there. Mohd. Ali Shah Bahadur ordered that the statue should be setteled up in a temple near Bada Imam Bada but the elephant carrying this statue stopped & sat down at a place in Aliganj. The famous festival of this temple is Bada Mangal, which is held every year in the month of July in Lucknow. Thanks for reading this article. Regards Aon Haider Mirza,...
