N K Residency Hotel & Restaurant — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

Hello everyone!! Jai Kedar 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Hope you all had a wonderful trip & I hope you all had a very good darshan of Baba kedar.. I want to give this information to those people who are planning to visit Kedarnath in the coming few days or next month. If you are going to visit Kedarnath, then this is my information for you. N K Residency This hotel is very beautiful if you look from outside but I would like to tell you my personal experience. I took a room here on 17 October 2024 at 9:30 pm. While taking the room, the manager or the employee here did not give me any information that these people want only cash, online transactions will not be accepted here, at that time they quietly gave me the room without any problem. some half hour later I took the trouble of going to the bathroom because I was very tired from the Kedarnath trip, but when I went towards the room, first of all I found the bathroom door broken, after that when I went inside, I found water in the bathroom. The bathroom taps were broken there were insects on the bed .

But even then I and my friends did not blame the hotel or make any complaint to them, but at 12:00 pm the hotel employee comes to our room and demands payment from us. We asked him for online transaction But he shouted at us and said that they only ask for cash here This conversation went on for a long time and the employees slammed the door and told him to get out of there.We were about to leave after facing so much humiliation but as soon as we went outside the gate we saw that it was raining very heavily, it was 12.30 in the night, if you people don't believe me then you can ask any local person.That employee started threatening us that there are many of his people around there and if we take any action against him then he can attack us.We showed wisdom and did not say anything to him and asked him for some time and said that we will give him the cash by morning.Then when we asked him for the number of the owner of his hotel, he lowered his voice and very intelligently and lovingly told us that you people should do the transaction online, it is okay, then we understood That this employee is doing all this behind the back of the hotel owner and that too for a long time. Who knows how many passengers like us tolerated this problem and remained silent.But I want all the passengers coming here to keep this in mind. That was the name of the rude hotel employee - Saurabh

Next day while checking out we were lucky to meet the hotel owner. We told him everything and the hotel owner listened to us very lovingly and with great hospitality.The hotel owner also admitted his mistake which is a very good thing but if this had happened to him a day before at night then it would not have been such a big deal

There was a permanent resident of Pauri Garhwal with us. The employees abused him and said that people living in that place are like this.

We did not like any service of that hotel, the rooms were dirty, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet was dirty but The kitchen workers and the kitchen staff there, their service was excellent, the food was amazing, their hospitality was very good

I would like to say that you people will not go to a hotel just by looking at the hospitality of the kitchen.I hope you all will understand what I am trying to tell you. I want that what happened to us should not happen to you people.

Neelkanth hotel and restaurant at start of trekking route to Kedarnath temple is ideally located. Close to car park and on trekking trail, near pilgrim registration checkpoint. Cramped pathway leads to this spot. Restaurant at basement serves fresh food at reasonable prices. Rooms on two floors are nice, compact. Geyser fitted toilets are newly installed( 2025). River facing...
