So, one of my friends was staying at club mahindra binsar & i had to meet him so was looking for a place to stay for night with family near club mahindra , in binsar.
So found this hotel cum restaurant cum homestay. Its owned by a very educated person retired from airforce & college teaching profession. Its constructed on his own property among his own farms & you can have a view of his farms in the morning ,looks quiet & beautiful.
Even all the spices , grains used in their delicacies are home grown.Price is okay.
It is just some 300 meters from the club mahindra .
It has its own parking space protected via locked gates & dogs.
Since its more like a homestay if you plan on high music or come late at night, better discuss in prior coz it may get locked. Also food is served but there are fixed times for that. Also advised to keep cash as the owner is very senior person.
Rooms are spacious & clean , however found one issue , since it lies on main road of binsar , trucks keep passing whole night & if slightest noise disturbs you..then you might have a problem there. No room phones, no receptions , a simple setup.
Also since the place & binsar itself is very quiet & remote nights are very dark with nothing to do.
So if you are looking for solace & decent stay & you plan to stay in binsar, then...
Read moreThis is a family-run Hotel cum Restaurant serving North-Indian food. Named after Hayat Singh, the late father of the founder. Excellent food - probably the best in Binsar Valley. Only made to order, hence always freshly cooked. Has a home-made taste. Cooked and served within 20 to 30 minutes. Try their Kumaoni dishes (local fare). Inform them at least an hour and a half in advance if you want to eat Kumaoni dishes. These are prepared subject to availability of ingredients on the day. Had been there with family. We loved every meal we had. Ate different Kumaoni and standard North-Indian dishes over three days. Kumaoni dishes we had were Maduwa (Ragi) roti; Laaee (locally grown Green leaf) curry; Gaderi (a tuber very similar to arbi); Bhatt (Black lentils); and mutton and chicken cooked the Kumaoni way. Depending on the time of year, one can get other dishes. They also have a couple of rooms for those who wish to stay. So, it is a hotel as well and...
Read moreA quaint & down to earth place to eat good, fresh, home like north Indian food. It is a family run, very unassuming restaurant which is also a very well stocked provisions & grocery shop. The family also has a fairly large kitchen garden where they grow quite a lot of vegetables, and which is also a retreat for various local bird species. The young man who owns & runs the place cooks breakfast, lunch, high tea & dinner to order if given sufficient notice. In spite of its humble classification, the standard of food offered & the hygiene maintained is recommendable. And the service is with a smile. If you're staying at any of the resorts in Binsar and want a change of scene of food, this is the place for lip smacking desi khaana: Indian roti, subji, daal, chaal, parathas, paneer preparations, green veg...
