Visited for a post-dinner beverage and pastry. Had a grande hot chocolate that was comme ci, comme ca and a chocolate silk pastry which achieved a respectable creamy and crunchy balance. Ambiance-wise, this location gives a very hospital waiting room vibe (guess it’s to do with the prevalence of the light green upholstery on the chairs). Outdoor seating is too spread out and lacks character in the view of this reviewer. Sitting outdoors in this cold weather is out of the question, hence this portion tends to be mostly deserted. The valet guy is a most intriguing bloke who parks the vehicle depending on his mood. Today for example he had a fire going and was too comfortable to bother with assisting in the parking of the car. He gestured to where I should park instead. Don’t think Starbucks is doing all that well in this town. The first two-three days since its launch saw a heavy influx of customers, but since then it’s been quiet AF. The reason is that the local populace find it too expensive to dine here. Even today there were hardly three-four people who’d ordered just the one beverage and were sharing.
