This cafe is beautiful and cozy as well...it is very beautiful and the staff is hospitable too, we had two coffees one hazelnut and one cappuccino , and the tasty was absolutely amazing ..I will recommend this cafe specially to IT professionals who want to sit with their laptop and want to enjoy the vibes of a cozy place.. It is definitely a Hidden Gem in the Heart of Dehradun, Tucked away in the bustling streets of Dehradun, The Bend Cafe and Restaurant is a culinary haven that will leave you craving for more. As a food enthusiast, I was thrilled to stumble upon this gem, and I'm excited to share my experience with you. Ambiance: 5/5 As I stepped into The Bend, I was immediately struck by the cozy and intimate atmosphere. The cafe's interior is tastefully designed, with a blend of modern and rustic elements that create a warm and inviting space. The dim lighting, comfortable seating, and soothing music all contribute to a relaxing ambiance that's perfect for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Service: 5/5 The service at The Bend is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server was happy to answer our questions and make recommendations, and the food was delivered promptly. The team's enthusiasm and dedication to providing excellent service are evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Food: 5/5 The Bend's menu is a masterclass in creative, farm-to-table cuisine. The dishes are expertly crafted to showcase the freshest ingredients, and the presentation is stunning. We ordered a variety of items, including the signature Bend Burger, the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Veggie Delight. Each dish was a flavor explosion that left us wanting more. The Bend Burger was a highlight, with a juicy patty, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar cheese, all served on a toasted brioche bun. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich and creamy, with tender chicken cooked to perfection. The Veggie Delight was a vibrant and flavorful mix of roasted vegetables, quinoa, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce. Beverages: 5/5 The Bend's beverage menu is equally impressive, with a range of specialty coffee drinks, teas, and cocktails. We opted for the Cappuccino and the Chai Latte, both of which were expertly crafted and delicious. Value: 5/5 Given the exceptional quality of the food, service, and ambiance, The Bend Cafe and Restaurant offers outstanding value for the price. The menu is reasonably priced, with most dishes falling in the Rs. 200-500 range. Overall Experience: 5/5 The Bend Cafe and Restaurant is a must-visit destination in Dehradun. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and cozy ambiance creates a truly unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, The Bend is a hidden gem that's sure to delight. Rating: 5/5 stars Recommendation: Don't miss the signature Bend Burger, and be sure to try one of the creative cocktails or specialty coffee drinks. Will I return?* Absolutely! I'm already planning my next visit to The Bend.

The Bend at Malsi Road is never to be missed. Very creatively, they have named each of their floors. The ground floor is called The Bean, which serves coffee and continental dishes. The first floor is called Bowl and Curry, which serves Asian food, and the second floor is Beat, which caters mostly to parties. The menu is very elaborate and contains almost everything you could ask for. Ground floor: The Bean - Coffee and Continental Coffee, tea, cold brew, frappe, iced coffee Juices, mocktails, smoothies, shakes Breakfast, burgers, salads, sandwiches Pastas, risotto, pizzas, dimsums, rice bowls First floor: Bowl and Curry - Asian Cuisine - Salad, chaat (peanut, aaloo, palak, kurkuri bhindi) Starters like tikkas, seekh, platters. There are Curries to choose from , rice, biryani, and bread. The staff are welcoming, and the decor is excellent with lots of creative wall hangings. It’s very slick, not jarring at all. The lighting is also brilliant, with lights hung on the ceiling in a woven pattern with a wooden border, resembling the doors of traditional houses. Menu Highlights for us were: Grilled Fish in Lemon Butter Sauce (Grilled Vietnamese Basa or Sole fish with lemon butter garlic sauce, served with parsley butter rice or mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, and fries); Konjee Crispy Mushroom and Khow Suey. The host, Dinesh, was really helpful and accommodating. He was attentive, prompt with delivering dishes, and had a good understanding of the menu and its ingredients. In summary, The Bend at Malsi Road offers a delightful dining experience with its diverse menu, excellent decor, and outstanding service. Whether you're in the mood for coffee, continental, or Asian cuisine, this café has something for everyone.

Visited bowl and curry by The Bend recently. The restaurant, or I guess calling it a pub would rather be a better option, has recently opened its doors to indian and asian cuisine lovers. Now coming down to the ambiance, the place is a beautiful one for a date but be ready to shout your lungs out here. They ( idk if they do the same on normal weekdays as well ) had set music on the loudest of volume their music system could serve. We politely asked twice, and I must emphasise twice right here, to reduce volume a bit. The humble request went unheard unless three of their customers bashed the staff for the same and forced them into decreasing the volume. Being a restaurant customers expect a decent environment where one can spend a day out in peace. Coming down to food we ordered Khow suey which was made to perfection and vegetable dimsums which we regretted ordering. We opted for Burmese version of Khow suey and to my awe I enjoyed every bit of it. Dimsums were a total let down. These were bland and weren’t even steamed well. Though I didn’t expect them to be spicy or flavourful as momos being momos come with a subtle taste but these ones were not even subtle but tasteless. Vegetable stuffing was raw and so was the outer covering. Here my rating is only based on the Burmese Khow suey I had. I would have rather submitted negative rating, if there were an option to do so, for their hospitality.

The Bend is a posh restaurant that caters to someone who likes a quiet meal, with a glass of wine or whiskey. The atmosphere is cozy and the music isn't too loud. This in turns makes you hear your partner if you are on a date, or just enjoy the meal by yourself without damaging your eardrums. There is plenty of lighting inside, without blinding your eyes. The color palates are bold and simple. There's ample parking space.

Now coming to the food, I spent three years in Gurgaon and I hadn't had a single place serve me a well cooked mutton like I found it done at The Bend. My sincere compliments to the chef.

So all in all, an absolute delight to dine here, and I can confidently say that this is my go to place from now on. Wish they were open a bit late at night though, 10:30pm is too soon to shut their doors. Also a suggestion, they should put up some signs outside the boundary of their parking space towards the road, because if you are going from dehradun to mussoorie in a low slung sedan you may totally miss the place, as I did on my first go.

Edit: Since I stay right near the place I tend to order a lot from this restaurant and it pains me to see the quality of food has degraded in the last few months. Undercooked mutton, terrible pasta. Even the lahori aloo we ordered a few weeks ago had undercooked potato. Maybe they changed their chef. Who knows but this establishment definitely lost me as their...
