THE HIMALAYAN TEA HOUSE — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

The Himalayan Tea House is in a new location next to Kripal Guesthouse, pretty close to where it was earlier, minus the dramatic mountain views. Never mind. The new location has fine east-facing valley views from its main dining area and west-facing valley views on the other side of the Kasardevi Ridge, from the seats in the small garden courtyard. The décor is simple and eclectic, with cushioned benches, a cushioned swing and mattresses on iron cots. The kitchen is efficient and rustles up simple, home-cooked style meals. I loved the vegetarian thali and the healthy breakfasts like oats and muesli. This is a great chillout place, to linger and browse in, so bring a book or a Kindle, or your laptop for wfh.
