Singing beans cafe&Art space — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

Singing Beans tries to capture the 70s retro vibes of hippie cafés. They've succeeded in establishing their place in Kasardevi as a community café, much like Baba's Cake, a gathering place for local Kumaonis and tourists alike. The seats at the front overlooking the valley are the best if you're a solo diner. There are other more comfy seats inside and away from the chill. I ordered a late breakfast, an oats fruit bowl with honey and black coffee. The oats were delightful, with an unusual roasted taste. The coffee, while not very distinct in flavour, was good too. When we entered the cafe, the vibe was super cozy & welcoming. The ambiance was dimly lit and had some nice relaxed arm chairs. There were not many people but that's what made it intimate. Soft & soothing indian classical music was playing. The paneer wrap was delicious with a flavourful and healthy sauce. The veg pizza was good too. I visited Singing Beans multiple times during my extended stay in the Kasar Devi area. Both Bhaskar and his mother set a very unassuming vibe to the place.

The food and herbal tea that I tried were excellent and continued to be so in each visit be it, breakfast or other meals. The place is non pretentious and very chilled out.
