Singing Beans tries to capture the 70s retro vibes of hippie cafés. They've succeeded in establishing their place in Kasardevi as a community café, much like Baba's Cake, a gathering place for local Kumaonis and tourists alike. The seats at the front overlooking the valley are the best if you're a solo diner. There are other more comfy seats inside and away from the chill. The food and herbal tea that I tried were excellent and continued to be so in each visit be it, breakfast or other meals. The place is non pretentious and very chilled out.
