Pros:

  1. Easily visible from road side.
  2. Place is neat & clean.
  3. In winters you can pleasantly bask in the sunlight and have your food and drinks from both inside and outside of the restaurant.
  4. The staff is very humble.
  5. Parking is available in plenty in roadside.
  6. Restaurant atmosphere is cool.

Cons:

  1. Taste is a thing that can vary from person to person, I personally did not found the taste of veg burger of this place very charming. Also the price at which they were sold were not justifying it's value. The veg burger combo was of ₹ 259 in which you will get the burger+potato wedges+cold drink, now the later 2 things can be easily covered in 30-40 rupees but the left ₹ 210 for the veg burger was not justifying it's value. I totally understand that prices are bit on a higher side on hills and that's totally fine but you expect a good taste when you pay that amount for example brands like McDonald's, Burger King, etc will give you a standard good burger in ₹200 but the burger from Mudcup didn't felt like that, had it been priced around 130-159 then it would have atleast not made me feel bad for the extra 100 bucks 😎.
  2. Now in this burger combo they give you a cold drink, I am not sure that it is mentioned in the menu or not but still pointing this out for travelers that the cold drink is given in their own 150-200 ml plastic tumbler, maybe I was expecting that in ₹259 I could get a can of coke or sprite but actually they serve you in their own glass (we ordered 2 combos so thought we'll get 2 cans but only 1 can fills those 2 glasses).

Food ordered: Veg burger combo (burger+potato wedges+cold drink) and Masala tea. Bill: somewhere around ₹ 650-700/-

Conclusion: You may visit this place if you like their food, I personally didn't found the taste part very alluring. Other then this the location and ambience of the...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Mudcup cafe and was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere, food, and customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the cozy decor and friendly staff made me feel right at home.

I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The coffee was expertly crafted and had a rich, bold flavor, and the breakfast sandwich was fresh, hot, and made with high-quality ingredients. The menu had a great selection of food and drink options, and I loved that they used locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible.

The staff at The Mudcup cafe were also exceptional. They were attentive and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that my visit was enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations on what to try.

One of the highlights of the cafe was the atmosphere. The interior design was rustic and cozy, with exposed brick walls and comfortable seating. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or catch up with friends.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Mudcup cafe to anyone looking for a great coffee and food experience. The food and drinks were delicious, the customer service was exceptional, and the cozy atmosphere made it a wonderful place to spend time. I will definitely be returning on my next visit...

Only for creatures of the woods, quiet sips of intoxication of nature to heal, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist vibes of Mussoorie. Best for a night halt or stay here and venture Mussoorie - Landour on foot or bike on rent from this location. You can plan to visit Lal Tibba, Chamba etcetera all closer from here. There's enough parking space here, and locals expect peaceful behaviour from visitors, to not turn it into blaring sounds of chaos from their music. There's a heritage boarding school nearby hence a sensitive zone. Avoid walking late nights to avoid wild animal-human conflict. There are some more view points here for a good photography and at a walkable distance short hikes. Enjoy your peace of mind. For day hikers there's George's Everest, don't forget taking your backpack and nik naks, keep the forest clean for...

Arguably the best cafe I visited in Mussoorie/Landour. It does not appear in any promo literature nor is it hyped like many others restaurants & cafés in the area. I was walking by searching for some other cafe and I came across this tucked away into the mountainside. When I entered, I was welcomed with a smile and a glass of cold water. The menu is small, but the fare is delicious. I had asked for grilled egg sandwiches, but a lot of potato wedges came along with it at no extra cost. The Masala chai too was great! The service was exemplary. It's far away and I don't know if I will visit again, but this visit is a memory I will cherish for a long time..
